Their investments are investments in propaganda. It was successful at this point. To break it we must make Reddit disappear and lose all influence.

Take a look at Facebook for example. 10 years ago....

EVERYONE COOL was on it. If you weren't on it, it was because you were my mom.

CONTRAST to today? EVERYONE cool or uncool has one, ESPECIALLY MY MOM.

But Facebook is literally worse than Hitler now.

But more people THAN EVER use it.

And pretty much universally no matter who I talk to... they "hate Facebook" and yet Facebook makes more money than ever.

Even though I can't seem to actually find anyone who likes Facebook, Republican or Democrat.

They made Facebook "better for everybody" by making it worse for everybody. Just like Reddit.

And they both make WAY WAY WAY more money for doing so.

Reddit is doing better than ever financially.

China, I'm sure appreciates their propaganda utility. And I'm sure they like the profit. And lucky for China, they don't have to choose.

So it doesn't matter which is more important to them because in some ways, the propaganda and the money making are the same strategy... it's not either or.
