They are lying. Bells Palsy takes weeks/months of facial physiotherapy and still it is noticeable years later.

My dad had it, he always said it was a result of stress during a particularly hard time in his life, but to this day I can still see half of his face slightly lower. Just a little.

Pssh! No big deal. It will heal. Go ahead take this vaccine. Can you believe this shit? They are actually trying to normalize and play down Bell’s Palsey as a side effect for the vaccine. Even says that it’s possible to still contract the virus. Let’s just ruin faces cause we like being stuck with needles.

DonJr2024 14 points ago +15 / -1

Covid: might lose taste forever, might not ever be immune, might make you sterile, going to kill millions, oops next wave will kill millions, ooops there might be a covid-20 and that will kill millions, might make you blind, will definitely kill your grandparents, you probably are carrying it now, it will never go away.

HCQ: can make you nauseous! Can kill you if its in fish tank cleaner and your wife poisons you! Unproven, only around for a century or so.

Vaccine: perfectly safe! Can cause death in old people but they die anyway. Can give you Bell's palsy but thats not scary at all!

I remember those fearmongering ads for Biden where he said that the China Virus would be a preexisting condition

Give me one in the left arm and one in the right; my face will be equally paralyzed. You'll never know the difference!

I had it as a child, 25 yrs later my girlfriend's father asked my then girlfriend if I had had Bells Palsy. Now I am much older it is becoming more obvious.

1
LadypedeVT 1 point ago +1 / -0

Sorry man, that’s rough.

Vaccine sensitivity?

28
PurestEvil 28 points ago +28 / -0

Not 0.03%. ~0.01% max. Remember that causality is thrown out the window and every death is attributed 100% to Covid to push the numbers. This is absolute garbage data - and that's still way more accurate than "case counts." That's orders of magnitudes more of a hot mess.

15
Litecola2 15 points ago +16 / -1

And the vaccine math is misleading too - they selected 44,000 TOTALLY HEALTHY people, 22k placebo and 22k vaccine. 0 placebo people got the syndrome while 4 vaccine people got symptoms, earliest at 3 days, latest at 48 or something days. Speculation that, like many things, Bell's is more likely to occur in people with existing immune system problems.

IRL the vaccine will be given to all people, including unhealthy ones, and the incidence rate of Bell's (and other injuries) will be much higher.

This is not even mentioning the people who test positive for AIDS because HIV was spliced into the virus and is therefore in the vaccine.

Congress should definitely take this first. And Fauci and Gates with their entire families.

Fucking stupid liberals and their propaganda. When this vaccine causes half of people’s faces go numb, or their eye doesn’t completely close when blinking; you’re going to have a line at the ER that will compete with a Venezuelan chalupa stand.

The emergency MRI screenings for strokes will be the next national crisis, people are going to lose their shit with this side effect.

Oh but it’s okay because “muh vaccine”..

4
ghostsage 4 points ago +4 / -0

It may be that fractional tabulation we use now though. Each case of Bell's Palsy is counted as 0.5 because half of the person isn't paralyzed.

Nobody is complaining about it, but lots of people are chanting "Ny hace is hucked", which is clearly a vote for Biden. Mark and pre-date it.

-3
Prometheus76 -3 points ago +2 / -5

So if 100,000,000 people get the vaccine, 1,000,000 would get Bell's palsy if the incident percentage holds.

11
BarronTrump2032 11 points ago +11 / -0

.01% not 1% so that would be more like 10.5k cases. Just fixing the math but it's still bullshit.

2
Prometheus76 2 points ago +2 / -0

Thank you. Math is hard.

2
DonJr2024 2 points ago +3 / -1

Forget math, let's think about this:

What the fucking hell does a vaccine have maybe causing such a thing? Like what is that vaccine doing that even makes it a possibility?

Like HCQ can make you nauseous. Ok. That's unpleasant but doesn't make me think I have risked fucking with my central nervous system. HCQ can kill you in high enough doses, but so can aspirin (and so would 100 vaccine doses probably).

What if the vaccine made only 0.000002% of people's heads explode?

In other words, what else is this thing potentially messing with if Bell's palsy is even possible from this?

This must be a joke. They can’t hide their lies anymore. People are becoming aware of that. My liberal friends, with whom one could not even argue that about the vaccine being potentially dangerous are now seriously considering not taking it. They’re actually debating and putting forward arguments that we have put forward ourselves months before. That’s a step already.

I've had Bells Palsy, 2 years ago, and I'm still not at 100% on the right side of my face and never will be. It fucking sucks. I had to wear an eye patch for 2 months because I could not close my eye. It was always dry so I had to use drops all goddamn day. It's painful, at least it was for me around my ear, for several weeks, and of course, you have to worry about going out into public with half your face froze looking like a melting wax figure smh. This story is reprehensible. Fuck that vaccine I will never inject that poison into my body.

Uptick for the username.

My father had BP in 1982. He was at my brother's high school graduation, smiling with the only side of his mouth that worked, and people were asking my brother why his dad was sneering at them.

He still hasn't totally recovered, near 40 years later.

Litecola2 3 points ago +3 / -0

Honestly, you absolutely cannot allow them to put this into you, and possibly any other vaccine ever. Your immune system is compromised.

2
GR-Abass 2 points ago +2 / -0

I had it too, about 5 years ago. I remember the eye drops thing and having to tape my eye shut overnight. And yes, it can result in permanent damage of the facial nerves if the inflammation is not immediately treated. Fortunately it freaked me out enough that I contacted a doctor right away and started taking steroids within the first 72 hours. I still have a very slightly crooked smile but it's mostly unnoticeable. Could have been much worse. Bottom line: Something that permanently fucks up your face is nothing to just shrug off. Oh wait, we'll all be compelled to wear face diapers everywhere we go for the rest of our lives, so who's ever gonna know?

35
ThyPowerToSave 35 points ago +35 / -0

I have had it up to here with these stupid-ass "journalists" writing what they want you to conclude in their clickbait headlines. It just pisses me off to no end how journalism has degenerated at the hands of a bunch of leftist crybabies who think they are the Ministry of Truth.

"HERE'S WHY THAT'S PROBLEMATIC" "HERE'S WHY BIDEN ISN'T CAMPAIGNING AND THAT'S A GOOD THING" "HERE'S HOW THE VACCINE ISN'T BECAUSE OF TRUMP"

Don't tell me what to conclude! Report the facts and I can think for myself you absolute pansies.

13
Prometheus76 13 points ago +13 / -0

The internet killed it. They live by clicks, because they don't have the revenue of advertising and especially classified ads to carry them anymore. So they need clicks. Which means clickbait articles.

In addition, they've been programmed into being Marxist activists instead of the traditional approach of classical liberalism. So they no longer value free speech or objectivity, because they think speech is violence and that there's no such thing as objective reality.

I am just astonished at how rapidly everything transformed.

4
Keiichi81 4 points ago +4 / -0

Actual journalism from when journalists weren't hacks and shills: "A percentage of recipients in the COVID vaccine trials have developed partial facial paralysis."

Modern hack journalism: "There's no need to worry about developing partial facial paralysis from the COVID vaccine. Someone we call an expert says it's not as bad as you might think. Here's 10 reasons why you should definitely take the Pfizer vaccine, which is totally safe."

26
GreenScreen 26 points ago +26 / -0

They are so desperate to convince us Biden gave us a vaccine and it's completely safe. The propaganda is out of control.

24
rusty_spittoon 24 points ago +24 / -0

3-4 days of a little coof, or a paralyzed face for a few weeks with unknown causes...

Yea I'll take my chances with the coof

-13
KnightKreider -13 points ago +6 / -19

Bells palsy has the same rate of occurrence in the population, meaning you have the same risk of getting this if you get sick from nearly any respiratory illness, including coof.

14
Litecola2 14 points ago +15 / -1

Going to throw a flag on this one for two major reasons.

For the vaccine, they selected TOTALLY HEALTHY people. The incidence in this population is Zero. How do we know? Zero incidence in the 22k placebo group.

Second, the Bell's developed in DAYS after getting the vaccine. The incidence rate in normal population is OVER THEIR LIFETIMES. Big difference. Critical, in fact.

If you were to do statistics on the chances of perfectly healthy people developing a syndrome primarily associated with immune-system problems plus high-stress factors within a month of each other WITHOUT a vaccine/external catalyst, it would be astronomical.

Don't let them confuse you with cherry-picked selective framing. Each of the trials of these rushed vaccines has been fraught with unnecessary ER visits by the subjects, and none have proven to be safer than being exposed to the virus naturally - even with the money-grabbing over-counting of 'deaths with covid' for accident and heart attack victims (eye rolls).

6
20KAG20 6 points ago +7 / -1

Agree 100%. The other poster basically said it wasn’t the vaccine that gave them it, it was natural!!

I've had bells palsy. The right half of my face froze for almost 6 months. It is NOT ok, or pleasant, or "not that bad". You can't talk right, you can't eat right, you can't use a fucking straw, food dribbles out everywhere because you can't feel it. You'll get a cut or bump your head and not even really know it. Nothing dangerous about that.

These criminals at usa today are sick fucks.

7
TheRealMaga 7 points ago +7 / -0

Bells Palsy can cause severe depression not only due to facial deformity, but also from a lack of being able to express one's emotions during a conversation. Imagine literally not being able to smile, for months.

Bells Palsy lasts for months. One eye usually can't close or blink, so you have to wear a protective eye covering while you sleep to avoid scratching your cornea if you rub your eyes in the middle of the night.

It's an absolutely horrible condition to go through.

7
Jackdagger 7 points ago +7 / -0

mathteach314159 5 points ago +5 / -0

I had a 4 week stint of bells palsy due to a very bad ear infection. While it wasn’t the worst thing in the world, it was a SERIOUS inconvenience. Drinking, eating, talking all became very difficult. Not to mention the stares while out in public. Didn’t bother me much, but with how vein and delicate the left is, it would destroy any shred of confidence they had in their appearance and self worth. But hey, at least they can cover it up with that mask they will still have to wear after they take the vaccine!

Oh and my favorite part is the eyelid not working. Can lead to a seriously dry eye, and the first time I took a shower when my eye lid stopped working on the second day, I blasted my eyeball with the shower stream when I went to wash my face because I thought I had closed my eyes. Turns out one eye didnt, that was fun.

Lastly, there is a possibility that Bells Palsy is permanent. I was lucky that mine cleared up at about the earliest time frame possible at 4 weeks.

2
arkylady 2 points ago +2 / -0

Did yours clear up 100%? My face isn't still paralyzed, but that side of my face is still weaker and I get muscle "ticks" fairly often.

Showers were really fun haha

2
mathteach314159 2 points ago +2 / -0

Sometimes I see myself in the mirror and think maybe, just maybe I am not 100%. But it would be so negligible that anyone else looking at me would not notice. Only because I know my own face so well. Like if I smile as big as I possibly can there seems to be a little bit of asymmetry or if I open my mouth as wide as I can. I was in my late 20s when it happened, so I am not sure if being decently young and healthy played a role in my recovery going as well as I could have hoped. It was a good 3 months for that last 5% of recovery, but I do recall the twitching when the palsy started subsiding, very similar to when it first started happening. I do not know how long ago yours happened, but hopefully that twitching is a good sign that your body is still sorting itself out. All in all just a weird experience, I am sure you can relate!

PSA- dont fuck around with ear infections, go get it remedied or it can lead to more dire consequences if you are one of the unlucky ones. I let an ear infection fester for a week hoping it would just resolve itself and Bells Palsy was my prize.

1
arkylady 1 point ago +1 / -0

Mine was over 2 years ago and I was 50. The first sign for me was half my tongue was numb and tingly, then I woke up the next morning with half my face somewhat paralyzed and it worsened thru that day and the next day into full paralysis. I think mine might have been caused by an infected tooth.

Nobody else would notice the issues I still have, but it's frustrating how they act like this is only temporary when most everyone I've talked to who has had it has lasting effects years later, even if they are minor compared to full facial paralysis.

PSA- Last time I had an ear infection, it was the weekend and I used apple cider vinegar drops in my ear for 3 days and it was gone :)

2

4

4
edxzxz 4 points ago +4 / -0

If people recover in a couple weeks, how the fuck has Greta Van Susteren had it for decades?

2
arkylady 2 points ago +2 / -0

I had it 2+ years ago. Doctor told me most people recover completely within weeks or months. I still am not 100% recovered and doubt it'll get any better than it is now (nothing too major, but my eye doesn't work right, my smile is weak on that side and I have some muscle "ticks" now and then).

Almost every person I've ever talked to or watched videos of who has had Bell's Palsy says they have lasting effects years later. I think they are just saying that the full paralysis is fully recovered and ignoring the other lasting issues people have.

Space_Force 4 points ago +4 / -0
