I really don’t like Hotep Jesus. I’ve learned some things about him that are suspect AND I find him to be a manipulative and narcissistic. That said every once in a while he says something very sound and reasonable so I do have to give him credit there.
I was a Hotep fan for a bit but the more I listened the more he seemed off to me. He has to be center stage. His whole “blocked!!” Thing on Twitter was amusing for a minute but he would block people that had legitimate questions challenging his statements. He also had minimal engagement with people. Felt to me like he was mainly interested in building a cult of personality and as soon as I get that vibe from someone I’m out.
One of the best solutions to the police issue is to disarm all the police and require willing citizens to be armed. That way, if the police feel they need firepower, they must call on the citizens. If the citizens don't feel it's justified then they won't back up the police.
I live in a small town in Pennsylvania. I have seen the county sheriff commit perjury on the stand. The defense attorney busted him for it. The judge dismissed concerns of the sheriff's malfeasance, while acknowledging that the sheriff lied. Also, the DA routinely submits falsified "evidence" to the court.
The day I see small town cops willingly abandon their jobs to march with the patriots to protect them with the magic of their qualified immunity is the day I believe that an cop isn't a collaborator with or willing willing agent of a foreign occupying force.
Police are following orders of the people who pay them. Any one of us would probably do the same. I respect their position and them putting their lives at risk everyday, but they are not your friends. They will do what they have to to save their own asses.
