I dont know why the government has seized this power for itself. Why do they manage licenses for things like alcohol or even just trades. Its my own damn business if I want to hire an electrician who is not licensed. This kind of thing should be controlled by a private company who puts their name behind someone. Just like UL listings.

Yes liability laws should take the place of government regulation in many areas.
