Voting is so fucking simple to solve. You don't need all these calibrations etc...

You need two independent suppliers, paper ballots with custody and run two parallel tabulations with their own registries. If they match, they count. If not, they are hand adjudicated.

All you have to do is QR or bar code the name or block it out. And videotape the count. Every ballot, every vote. Taped and saved for 6 months. Every machine counter being a simple no frills tabulator only. Each tabulator tied to a station. Each station assigned a set number of ballots to be counted. Theres a million ways to make this exact.
