Japans fertility rate is at 1.4/woman and the required rate to maintain a population is 2.1/woman. They have the worlds highest suicide rate to boot because their work life balance is terrible. You ever been to Japan? I have. It is an incredible country but just underneath all that order you see from your screen is lots and lots of degeneracy and misery. People are legally marrying anime characters via VR. You are misinformed about Japan.
Russia is a crime ridden cesspool ran by Jewish mafiosos with massive poverty, drug problems and an economic crisis looming as it relies heavily on energy exports. It's still struggling with privatization and and just like Japan, their birth rates are below 2.1/woman. Russia has the MOST natural resources on the planet. I have no idea where you got that nonsense from. What they lack is the ability to properly extract, manufacture and refine. Russia is not the type of "western society" anybody wants. They don't value genuine freedoms and will never, ever understand individualism. Their government control is similar in nature to countries in the Middle East. Just without the hardcore Sharia.
Brazil is not a mess ONLY because of the war on drugs. They have a massive class problem combined with racism that would make BLM faggots here start praising Trump immediately. If they only knew. They've had terrible socialist governments nonstop for decades and a caste system similar to India.
Your listed nations are simply not good examples of why legal prostitution is a good thing.
Our problems, among many others, are that we promote faggotry, whores and fags on social media, feminism and praise corrupt shit heads because of their "progressive" policies. All of it degenerate garbage that ruins societies. We need to clean house first before we can fight off the scum bags.
Every developed country on Earth has a fertility rate below 2.1. Every single fucking one of them. You can point to Japan's fertility rate all you want but there is no successful alternative to point to out there. France has the highest fertility rate in the developed world with a whopping 1.9 per woman and even that is being driven up by the migrants. The only reason you see any difference at all between Japan's fertility rate and the rate of European countries is because of the immigrant populations. Otherwise, they are pretty much the same.
The fact is that we may just be overpopulated and nature is telling people to stop having kids. We'll just have to go through this cycle and when we get to the other end of the tunnel, if we keep our basic values in-tact, the fertility rate will rise. But there is no point in acting like Japan is a failure of a country when everybody else is going through the exact same thing.
I know several people who have been to Japan and all of them loved it. We are planning a trip there in a few months actually.
Japan's suicide rate is pretty much the same as the US's. World's highest suicide rate is ridiculously stupid and easy to verify. It is ranked as the 30th highest. This is why I say that you people don't know what you're talking about. You're just basing your ideas of the world off of old stereotypes and popular conceptions of what things are like in certain societies.
However, what Japan doesn't have is an obesity and drug overdose epidemic. And there is a lot of overlap between the drug abusing population and the suicidal one. And there's some overlap between obesity and suicide too. People in Japan probably just commit suicide more because there's essentially no other way to die in their society.
You're right. Japan is 7th, not first. I should have written ONE of the highest. Also, you are the one using Japan, Brazil and Russia as examples of what "traditional" societies are. They are not examples of that at all.
If you want a truly traditional society you'd have to go to small villages in the Middle East and Europe to get a sense of what "traditional" life is. I'm not talking about backward super religious ones. I'm talking small/medium sized communities who value what their ancestors valued.
Japan has no gun ownership, almost impossible to get a gun unless you are of course in a criminal org or you are government. They are a uniform nation with uniform ideas, for the most part. I loved Japan, but it's still not the ideal in my opinion. They have an ageing population with their youth having little interest in marriage and children. You're only pointing to the ideals. Anyone can do that to any country. Hell, I can even do that with Iran as I've been there and know their citizenry is incredibly intelligent, thoughtful and generally don't like the government. People in Japan do not commit suicide "cause there is probably no other way to die". That is probably one of the dumbest comments I've ever read. They have a high rate because their work life balance is brutal, loneliness is rampant and companionship is hard to find. I've travelled the world extensively, I am not basing my ideas of "stereotypes" lol. It's just the reality for many places.
We are not overpopulated. Governments have allowed corporations to kill small and medium sized businesses causing populations to move into larger and larger cities in order to work. What do you think covid has done? The more people live in smaller areas, the more polluted those areas become.
Russia I won't even bother going into. You're only pointing to the good things SINCE the Soviet collapse. You're pointing to petty crime lowering. That's literally happened everywhere across the planet since the inception of free market capitalism. Their institutional corruption makes even ours look like child's play.
Brazil is literally not even worth talking about. A messed up country almost entirely.
They are not 7th, they are 30th. 30th is not that high, that is not even cracking the top 25.
Its hard for me to find the study now because the source I remember having it has since deleted it, must be because its inconvenient for the progressive narrative... But I read that 80% of Japanese singles were interested in marriage compared to about 50% of single Americans.
As I mentioned, the desire is there, Japan is simply still in the process of figuring out the best way to matchmake for their fairly shy and reserved population.
You keep pointing to all the problems with Japanese society, but what would the US or certain European countries look like if it were to be scrutinized with the same lens that you are scrutinizing Japan and Russia? We would be characterizing the US as a crime infested shithole with cities overrun with homeless shitting in the streets and shooting up heroin, with 70,000 dead every year because of it, a fertility rate that is plummeting, men and women have a borderline hostile relationship with one another now, the country is falling into authoritarianism under COVID and on the brink of civil war due to political tensions.
There is a reason why I feel like "MAGA" is a good slogan, and "KAG" is stupid. I do not look around and see a great society, I see a society completely falling apart and on the brink of civil war. Don't get me wrong, I believe the progressives are responsible for all of it. But I find a lot of American conservatives' tendency to excessively glorify the US to be delusional. We may have once been the greatest and most free country on Earth, but we are definitely not anymore. The founding fathers would be rolling in their graves if they saw America today. I support the MAGA movement because I am disgusted by how far this country has fallen from grace and I would like to see it returned to its former glory. But we are not going to accomplish that by delusionally pretending that we are still the greatest country on Earth. Its time we start learning lessons from other countries which have done better in various areas of society. Japan has some problems but they have nowhere near the same political and gendered hostilities that we do nor the same levels of crime and homelessness. That alone, is a big reason to look to the example they have set and try to follow it.

Russia's crime rate and poverty rate has dropped tremendously since the early 2000s... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crime_in_Russia https://borgenproject.org/10-facts-about-poverty-in-russia/
