I agree, I was disenfranchised with the republican party. I realized the fact that I did not participate at the local level was the reason the party is shit. So I became active in my local republican party. If I were in a swing state I would be twice as active as I am. Frankly if your not going to your county conventions and acting as local and state elector and volunteer then that is the LEAST you can do to make a difference.
I disagree completely and I've been voting Republican since 1984. We need to punish the Rino party into non existence and build a brand new party while the ashes of the elephant are still smoking. Fighting them in the corrupt system that they set up and control is a waste of time, resources and effort.
They only control it because of party members and leaders who get voted in by said party members. You primary all these cucks and you get people in who want to change things and vote for different leadership. It'll change.
That's the way it's supposed to work. How's that been going for us? Who sets up the primary process? You are already behind the curve when you start because the system is designed explicitly to help those who play ball with the big money donors.
I have literally been doing this my entire adult life and it doesn't work. Look at all the things that pissed you off about this last election. Pick anything. The debate moderators, for instance. Why the fuck does the Republican party put up with that shit? Why? Seriously. The whole system is like that.
How do you feel when 95% of the inner city minorities vote for the Democrats year after year after year? Pretty fucking silly, isn't it? But you are advocating the same thing for us. "Just keep doing the same thing. It's the only way."
It's NOT the only way. We've just been conditioned to believe that.
How can we possibly have free and fair elections when the Democratic-Republican establishment controls the entire process? It seems to me that allowing political parties to manage our elections presents a rather substantial conflict of interest.
Seriously, how would we go about creating an America First party? Because every day it becomes clearer that the majority of the GOP is completely useless.
Better off restricting the Republican Party as members of a caucus and that wears this logo on their suit jacket and logos on their signs and branding.
Trump needed to use the GOP as a launch pad in 2016, but he's transcended the Republican Party and shown many within that group to be cowards or traitors. If he left, I'm betting over 90% of Republican voters would follow him.
No he hasnt, he has literally no support network outside of the Republican party. Anyone you see suggesting a third party has no fucking clue what they are talking about. Remember when Teddy Roosevelt ran a third party against the Republicans? Woodrow Wilson won with ease and Teddy hardly made a dent and he was much more universally loved than Trump is now.
Are you kidding me? No support network outside the GOP? Trump has garnered more support with non-Republicans than any candidate in recent memory. Also, regarding traditional Republicans, Trump supporters are not running back to a Romney type candidate just because he has a fucking R next to his name.
Barring a last second about face, the GOP has fucked itself. Get over it.
People bet on winners bro, Im sorry, but you are deluded and have a childish understanding of politics. Parties are machines, and whoever has the better machine usually wins, this is why our elections are really just a democrat vs a republican. A third party run by anyone would lose immediately.
The harsh reality is that we are pretty much useless at a certain level, at some point Trump needs to play the game and you play the game by making friends in your camp. Pissing off both major parties like what you are suggesting is a really really dumb plan.
Childish understanding. Perhaps you should look in the mirror. Political parties are not immortal juggernauts. They come and go. What you're seeing right now is the implosion of the Republican Party due to corruption and a public betrayal of everything they're supposed to stand for. People will not continue to vote for GOP candidates just because of their history.
These watershed moments don't come along often, but when they do, they must be seized. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Expend Herculean degrees of energy to root out the rot in what you admit is a political machine? Or start fresh with the most popular candidate in the history of US politics? It's not as crazy as you want to believe it is.
The Republican Party is not going anywhere soon. Starting some irrelevant political party as some feel good gesture that is doomed to fail is stupid and deserves to be called as such. Im interested in actually achieving things, not just jerking off and making jokes.
No, it's not. That's what they've been preaching for years but that doesn't make it true. All options should be discussed. Calling people "stupid" or saboteurs is just an attempt to silence other opinions.
It is stupid and you all need to realize this. Starting a third party instead of pushing forward with taking over the GOP is incredibly self destructive and stupid that I believe only leftist are trying to push this to sabotage us.
There you go again. Calling me stupid isn't much of an argument. Tell me why you believe this. Explain it to me like I haven't been fighting this futile battle for the last forty fucking years. Explain it like I wasn't a precinct chairman and a Texas state delegate. Explain it like I haven't been working on campaigns, block walking, donating, cold calling, and voting in every state, local and school board election for literally decades. Try and dumb it down enough so I can understand it, stupid as I am.
How so? Because I don't believe that's true. I used to think so, but now I believe a new party is the only way.
The Republicans we have up there now aren't even a different party. They're just the moderate faction of the Democrat party. Let's quit playing by the uniparty rules.
I'm more in favor of taking over and rebranding/renaming the GOP. I'm a Libertarian and can tell you first hand what happens when you fracture based on little differences. America first people simply need to make up the majority of GOP voters and politians in order for the shift to occur. Splintering will kill conservatism and that cuts our nose off to spite our face.
America First Party
Lion or Eagle as the emblem
Sour on politics? Join the lemon party!
I like that....America First Party!
Eagle
I agree. More American.
Disagree. I see how radical left infiltrated dem party. Patriots need to take over republican party. We've stayed quiet too long.
This is the way.

The number one priority of the Lion Party should be fighting election fraud.
Without that, nothing else matters.
Seriously, how would we go about creating an America First party? Because every day it becomes clearer that the majority of the GOP is completely useless.
Patriot Party* More ambiguous an more easily adopted by the masses. Not everyone has the spirit of the Lion, even though we know we all do.
Task #1 - Purge the corruption of the electoral process in America.
then
Task #2 - Forge a new political party off the carcasses of the older 2 parties.
If you don't take care of Task #1 first, Task #2 is a futile gesture.
Where do I register?
Better off restricting the Republican Party as members of a caucus and that wears this logo on their suit jacket and logos on their signs and branding.

Reminder that any attempt to start a third party instead of simply taking over the Republican party is either blindfully stupid or sabotage

Get serious

Why is that? Because we won't win house anytime soon? Or senate, presidency. See what winning got us - resistance and election fraud.
No, it's not. That's what they've been preaching for years but that doesn't make it true. All options should be discussed. Calling people "stupid" or saboteurs is just an attempt to silence other opinions.

how did the republican party start?
Lion = Lyin'

America first people simply need to make up the majority of GOP voters and politians in order for the shift to occur. Splintering will kill conservatism and that cuts our nose off to spite our face.
And thus, you split the conservative vote and lead to forever democrat control.
As Alex Jones said, the best way forward is to take over the GOP and turn them into a truly conservative, America First party.
