On a side note I am annoyed how leftist friendly this game is. There is plenty of satire here about the future of leftist civilizations. But there is multitudes more of annoying leftist bullshit that isn’t satire, just clear leftist pandering.
Nearly every main boss that tells you what to do, where to go, pays you , etc in the game is a woman. Which nothing against women bosses, but it’s SO many it’s obvious it was on purpose. I can’t really see how “let’s make everyone in power a wahmen” is satire.
Lots of other stuff but don’t wanna write out a whole thing lol
I am having fun with the game but it was definitely all hype. The rpg aspect as really good and it seems your decisions are pretty complex with how they affect the story but other than that it’s an average game that looks amazing.
I actually hated it at first because I was comparing it to other games which we were told to expect it to be like, but now I just play it for what it is and found a way to enjoy it.
I don’t know, the whole cyberpunk thing is really a tale of two futuristic extremes where anarchy/libertarianism has this weird sort of co-existence with uber-authoritarian corporatism. Like privacy no longer exists but 2nd Amendment rights are also dialed up to 11 (kids walking around in the city street messing with loaded weapons). Free speech is taken to an extreme (explicit sex ads everywhere) yet corporations can virtually own their employees and seize their personal assets on a whim.
I don’t think it’s favoring one side or another, just a non-utopian vision of the future which frankly seems disturbingly probable.
I agree I think cyberpunks lore is more of a cautionary tale, many characters throughout the game point out the flaws in their society from many different angles. Some def come of more left wing then others and sure some things have a lefty slant but there is enough winks and nods to liberty minded people in there as well that on the whole it feels pretty balanced politically - at least compared to most of the trash in mainstream cinema and gaming these days...
It’s not presented that way though, as much as I would like to see it that way. It’s just “here is a character you are supposed to like, here they are presented in a serious way.” I don’t really know how to explain it other than I’m positive that, even if they didn’t deliberately make so many women in lead roles for the sake of being a woman, they definitely didn’t make most of the characters not as some commentary (although some) they just trended heavily female with their characters.
It’s anti-corporatism, which is not quite the same thing. It’s basically a vision of the future where corporations become so powerful they have effectively overthrown direct representative government and become sovereign nation-state unto themselves. They then use that power to relegate small businesses to the economic fringes of the urban ghetto.
It is. Producers making money off of capitalism by designing and selling games that trash capitalism. I didn't look into the story or plot really at all so I could be in for a surprise. What a surprise it was when I got about 30 minutes into it. Shut that shit off and wish I spent that $60 on five boxes of 762 for the AK instead.
I mean in a way he's kinda right because the fuckton of females that have infested CDPR have done their best to put a lot of sjw crap in the game, especially about trannies and fags. And they even added fucking tarot cards, which these bitches think is actual science and swear their lives by. But on the other hand the based developers and writers put in some good stuff about the downfall of society due to megacorporations and that's pretty decent too...

Well it is a dystopian world so that makes sense that a broken and corrupt society would be lead by women lol.
true lol

Very true, agree.

I just got past the prologue and so far it doesn’t even compare to Witcher 3.
Hard to believe it was in development for eight years.
CDPR's decisions are on the same tier as ME3 ending

Imagine spending money on a CDPR game. These games don't even have DRM. You could pirate it on day one. But you shouldn't because the game is a mess.
Bro - silverhand absolutely shits on pc culture in one of the quests.
I think it’s the one where you track the communist troll.
I can’t remember the line exactly - but it’s fucking glorious.
This game is more based than you think.
Tptb?
Anycase - as far as I’m concerned - that healthcare response team was efficient as fuck.
