The EC allows only 2 hours for debate per challenge.

However, each elector can be challenged. Because each of the 7 contested states sent alternate electors, debate could outlast the election timeperiod such that no results from EC can be obtained.

At that point, the constitutional process begins, and according to it, Trump would win.

HOWEVER, turtle man McConnell is trying to squash this from happening -- he is trying to clamp down any Republican support in doing this.

We NEED to start organizing, and ramp up the pressure on McConnell. Start making the preps to visit his home and start protesting.

We also need to get all the Republicans on our side, and pressure the RINOs. If they would just do their job, Trump will be re-inaugerated. It's only up to their will power, which means it's up to US to leave them with no doubts in their mind about which box they'll find themselves in if they don't do their job!

The challenges could all be brought by only TWO members (one to sponsor, and one to do the talking) -- TWO members (e.g. Mo Brooks and Lion Cruz) can bring each of the challenges and do the 2 hours of talking per challenge.

Cruz has fillibustered before -- he can do it. But the more help the better. But it all rides on turning McConnell around, which means it rides on us.

McConnell will only turn round if his involvement isn't enough to turn people against him if he does the right thing now, when it all comes out. He certainly won't if his involvement means jail. You can assume that it does because he's choosing not being reelected over the truth coming out.... Although maybe he's counting on voting machines getting him reelected

It need only require two members (one senate to speak, one house to sponsor). If you remember 2016, there were many challenges brought against Trump that Biden had to shut down.

The difference is we can have more legitimate challenges and we have Pence

McConnell and Pelosi are united in this - neither have any desire to allow Trump to have his day or to restore the vote to the rightful winner.

I have a feeling Trump will move before this stage in the game is reached. Trump/Pence know they cannot count on Congressional GOP to back him up.

There is no TRUST in this plan, as it requires YOU to get off your ass, contact your senator and congressman, and to bring the HEAT to McConnell.

It won't be easy. But if we put enough pressure on McConnell, he WILL fold like the RINO he is.

Any specifics for this? The constitution doesn't seem to spell it out one way or another. So, IDK what would prevent Congress from continuing to count past Jan 20.

Then the Presidency of the Senate would devolve from Pence to the President Pro Temp (currently Chuck Grassley). The Speaker of the House (currently Pelosi) would be Sworn in as acting POTUS and presumably could then appoint a VP with advise and consent of House + Senate (See Amend 25)... Damn that'd be messy.

Specifically:

The person having the greatest number of votes for President, shall be the President, if such number be a majority of the whole number of Electors appointed; and if no person have such majority, then from the persons having the highest numbers not exceeding three on the list of those voted for as President, the House of Representatives shall choose immediately, by ballot, the President. -Amend 12

Seems like the State-by-State vote only occurs after the votes are counted... however long that might take.

President must be inaugurated by Jan 21. So it can't go past that.

If deadlock happens, the House would pick president and Senate Vice President. In worst case, if House gets gridlocked, Senate should not -- so Pence would become president.

The 20th Amendment only says that the term ends at noon on the 20th:

The terms of the President and the Vice President shall end at noon on the 20th day of January...

I don't see anything saying when the President must be sworn in by.

At this point I don't trust for even that low of participation to happen.

And I wouldn't look to Cruz to be the one to stand tall. Perhaps Rand.

Word is McConnell is working double-time behind the scenes to prevent any such challenge from happening.
