Though the idea of stopping traffic is a good one, that will only delay delivery for a short period of time. Discussion is necessary, we learn what can't work and we move to alternative options. If truckers strike, they lose job/livelihood and scabs just step in and the deliveries are still made. Nothing changes. So we have to find that chain link that actually disrupts the system and cripples the left. I've said it before, we need to organize on the local level and spread out. If I knew how to do that securely and safely (I'm a mom with a toddler) then I would start yesterday! Where there is a will there is a way!

Thought about sending a general post out calling on pedes in my locality, but once everyone says, "yes I live in your area" what then? I'm a local truck driver in FL. First of all most of us can't afford to not work. Second, if we refuse to move the truck for any reason other than safety, we as company drivers will get fired.

I lived in France for 4 years, trust me, it's absolute Hell, especially if you're a young, healthy person who never goes to doctor's office. Paying the medical bills for other people.
