In its entire history, Vermont has only sent one Democrat to the US Senate, Pat Leahy, who was lucky to run for the first time when the GOP was at its all time low, right after Watergate.
Vermont’s one redeeming factor is almost no one lives there.

Can confirm. My wife and I were planning to retire to Vermont. Till we found out the hippies had turned it into a never-ending Woodstock.

I believe they also have some pretty lax gun laws. If so, I’m surprised they haven’t voted those rights away yet!
