Yup. The ATF is the enemy of EVERYONE, not just the right. ATF is a rogue agency at this point, they have no legal jurisdiction to make up their own rules for enforcement or change how they enforce current rules. Courts will still go along with it though. It's all about wielding power over people selectively to force maximum compliance.
Trump would have done something about this but he let the propaganda control him. Now I fear this is the new normal. There is a petition going around but I didnt bother posting it because they never do anything.
Imo Trump is like a lot of other politicians and old people on this matter. He's ok with guns but doesn't embrace the spirit of the right to own whatever you want. It's not that he's necessarily anti gun, he's just behind the technology curve like the rest of the fudds. Bumpstocks? Pistol braces? 3d printers? Full auto clipazines? New tech is scary and confusing and he has to rely on other people telling him what's going on and they're either also fudds or authoritarians. He probably knows about revolvers and bolt action hunting rifles. Everything else is military/LE use.
