The GOP has shamed the memory of Abraham Lincoln.

Mishabird 15 points ago +15 / -0

Fk the GOP and all the RINOs that inhabit it.....Trump is the man who could effectively form a viable 3rd party that I think would be ahead of the GOP in 2 years. People are that fed up.

10
SgtCool [S] 10 points ago +11 / -1

Absolutely he could do it. There would be a mass exodus from the GOP the likes of which the world has never seen. The ONLY reason the GOP is relevant right now is because of Trump. They are a tool to be discarded when no longer useful.

As much as I'd like to cut ties with Republicans, it wouldn't work, we will have to keep moving forward with the strategy of subverting and eclipsing them. It will happen, Republicans have no moral or ideological core or enthusiasm that now resides with the "MAGA" constituency. I know everyone is frustrated by how slow everything is moving, but that is partially the nature of politics and partially a construct of the decentralized representative system which is intentionally designed to be inefficient and slow to change.

Starting a new party never works. Instead of starting a new party we need to remove all of the current corrupt politicians.

2
MorpheusKnows 2 points ago +2 / -0

Starting a new party USUALLY never works... Because most third party candidates are USUALLY total nobodies that no one ever heard of, or knows anything about... TRUMP will fill stadiums by himself regardless of party, especially now that he has proven what he can and will do for the American people! People will follow him!

Exactly! What Trump has built is an AMERICAN PARTY filled with Patriots from all parties, and all walks of life. When he began saying he wanted to "Make America Great Again" (Similar to what Reagan talked about in the 80's), people didn't take him seriously. Many mocked him and thought his candidacy was a joke, for publicity. But he was dead serious, having watched the Country that he loved be torn apart by the political "Elites" from BOTH PARTIES who say one thing to get elected, and then do something completely different once they get in office. He didn't understand why they couldn't just KEEP THEIR PROMISES they made to the American People! So he set out to DO WHAT NEEDED TO BE DONE to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, and return our standing in the world as the Greatest Country God ever allowed to be on the face of the Earth! He wasn't beholden to the political "elites", didn't need their money or their favors. He Is a one of a kind because he simply LOVES HIS COUNTRY. He knows that the American People love their Country too, and are also tired of watching it be destroyed by bad policy and lies just to get in office. Reagan faced the same thing when he came into office in the 80s, they had never seen anything like him before, and many in the Political Elites HATED HIM too. Now, only Trump could build this new party because as many have said here in TDW third parties typically fail. But TRUMP could make it work and it would be glorious because true American Patriots from all walks of life and all political parties would be able to continue what he started through 2024, and beyond. I for one would be proud to be a part of it. I think it's about time American Patriots stood shoulder to shoulder and took back our Country the right way! Both parties have failed this Country because all they care about is power, and continuing to play the "game". Trump doesn't play those games, that's why we love him, and why MAGA is a great idea!

How do you think the Republican party got started in the first place?

8
KAG4EVRodysseus11 8 points ago +10 / -2

I hate posts like this.

Trump KNEW what he was doing when he launched an insurgency candidacy as a republican.

It was a PARTY takeover, and with good reason: Even though it is NEXT TO impossible to take over one of the 2 parties, it is literally impossible to create a new one (and have it go anywhere). The apparatus at every level of government is set up to block that. Period. Whine if you want.

He won over the GOP rank and file, but only got about half of the party apparatus, leadership and elected officials. That is partly his own oversights and partly the fault of US, the base, for not insisting on MAGA GOP ONLY candidates in the primaries.

That error cost us dearly. The GOPe in leadership and party apparatus positions KILLED us - THEY were the ones who allowed the mail-in rule laws to pass (like Act 77 in PA), THEY are the ones who wont put up competing elector slates even though they have the power to and they know it.

So Trump AND US, his base, have been fucked over MORE by the GOPe than anyone else.

The right course of action is to COMPLETE THE PURGE OF THE GOPe at all levels of government, we have made SOME gains, just not enough to have been able to stop this bullshit.

Just tossing away the gains we have made and going "OK, new party!" is fucking retarded.

Scuttling the GOP for lion meme party at this exact moment would be an unforced tactical error of monumental proportions. Might as well meme about Jo Jorgensen. Smart move is to wait for the Democrat party to explode and tear each other to bits first, because if we flinch and divide they will immediately rally at a time where the conservative base we will be divided. Think about how a dog gets more aggressive when you turn your back on it. If the Democrat party does not collapse, purify and refine the GOP. If a complete strategic defeat is the end result of all this, burn the shit down by all means. But to divide now is just absolutely asinine. Lion party memes are the only reason I wish we had a downvote button.

3
KAG4EVRodysseus11 3 points ago +3 / -0

totally agree.

THIS is the moment to unite (although every Georgian has to vote Jan 5th for loefller & purdue) and begin to ORGANIZE for the primary season for 2022 if Trump is not inaugurated Jan 21.

Dont bitch, dont cry, dont pout, and stop with the stupid 3rd party memes. Use that passion to ORGANIZE and actually PRIMARY any and all NON MAGA candidates at ALL levels, not just federal, but state and local.

Dont cry about how hard that will be. It is 1/100 of how hard it would be to stand up a new party.

2
bejeavis 2 points ago +2 / -0

Until Trump leaves the Republican party, lion party memers are shills in my book.

1
BluBelle 1 point ago +1 / -0

That sounds great but with the Dominion and vote fraud mechanisms keep the GOPe counting the votes.

1

This is stupid. We need to punish and humiliate Mitch and the GOPe Senate. Not give them control.

2
KAG4EVRodysseus11 2 points ago +2 / -0

please feel free to post that on the "I hate the GOPe" forum.

This is a TRUMP forum, in case you couldnt tell by the name, and he IS the GOP.

Because there are traitors in our midst doesnt give YOU the authority to decide to burn the castle down.

If and when Trump says to abandon the entire GOP party, we will.

Until then, its OUR party and the job is to fix it by purging cancerous lesions.

This is a TRUMP forum. Until TRUMP says to dump the GOP, we stick with the GOP, and just reform.

1
SgtCool [S] 1 point ago +2 / -1

You're being paranoid. We can all agree we support Trump 100%, but we are allowed to have our own opinions about certain things. If Trump says he can control the GOP I'm all for it but I'm also allowed to have my own opinion. I think if Creepy Joe gets his hands on the Presidency then the GOP has truly failed us and no way in hell should we let them stay on top.

Real talk we all support Trump here but unlike r/politics we don't have to conform 1000% on every subject.

It's like when Iran launched missiles at our bases and everyone here was saying we should bomb them to kingdom come but I disagreed then, and so did Trump.

1
KAG4EVRodysseus11 1 point ago +1 / -0

the GOP has truly failed us

NO, the GOPe has failed us, and it wouldnt be the first time - they have been backstabbing Trump for 5 years. Im not minimizing your opinion, Im just saying the path is to purge the scumbag GOPe, not take our collective ball and go home.

Until then, shut your yap

Trump is in charge, and if and when he says to abandon the GOP, we will. Until then, it is the GOPe scumbags that are the traitors and it is OUR part, THEY are the intruders and must be purged.

If youre too lazy to purge them because it might take 2 ounces of effort to do shit like primary them, thats on you.

1
sgt_richard 1 point ago +1 / -0

Lol ok. Get back on the plantation. Go be the gop bitch, nom nom nom how's the demopublican dick taste. I'm done waiting for passes like you to do shit, and Trump does not control me. I will do as I please, unlike you, go worship turtle ma'am again. So he can stab you in the back AGAIN!

You can hate posts like this if you want but clearly playing along with the GOP is not going to keep working moving forward. They are not afraid of the voter base because they think they have you by the balls.

It's been a good run but Trump can totally make a new party if he wants. You and many others all say "Purge Purge Purge" but you have no idea how to do that.

Do you really think by continuing to play by the GOP's rules that they will suddenly turn over a new leaf and go full MAGA? No way. They are entrenched DEEP. The old swamp constantly gets replaced by new swamp. You will be playing musical chairs with RINOs and swamp creatures for decades with no progress to show for it.

1
KAG4EVRodysseus11 1 point ago +1 / -0

"Purge Purge Purge" but you have no idea how to do that.

actually I do, its called primaries.

And it is THE way to "purge purge purge".

You actually think a complete new party would be EASIER?

0
SgtCool [S] 0 points ago +1 / -1

Yeah okay let's wait 40+ years to slowly weed out the RINOs until we realize that most of the people we bring in are still loyal to the GOP and not to MAGA.

If the GOP is signing these guys' checks they will always be loyal to them. A new party would not be easy but it would be a massive blow to the Uniparty for their false opposition to suddenly be gone. And a new party would be free of the stigma of Evangelism brought on by the Bush dynasty as well.

Neither option is easy. But staying with the GOP when Trump has everything he needs from them doesn't make much sense. If Creepy Joe somehow gets his hands on the Presidency it will be all the proof I need to know that the GOP will not support us no matter how many "purges" we make.

Plus a totally new party would have real staying power in the MSM. Any marching orders about purges can easily be snuffed out.

1
KAG4EVRodysseus11 1 point ago +1 / -0

disagree but at the end of the day this is a Trump forum, and he already did this calculation before running. He has done an incredibly good job at taking over as much of the GOP apparatus as he has, if he isnt inaugurated all it will mean is that he didnt QUITE take over enough, and the GOPe backstabbers got us - we WILL weed them out.

All it will take is ONE FUCKING PRIMRY SEASON to do it if everyone got off their asses and organized in very single district.

5
Ravenmaster68 5 points ago +5 / -0

Like the logo. Got into it with some old dude about a third party. Some Republicans are as bad as liberals. They keep getting kicked in the Nuts. MAGA is bigger than the GOP and with the good ones leaving and jumping on board we can break the Uniparty. I'm totally for it

3
WeCax49 3 points ago +9 / -6

No, its time for him to take over the GOP. A MAGA party would just split the vote and lead to one party democrat control.

7
SgtCool [S] 7 points ago +9 / -2

And what are Republicans doing? They concede to the Democrats every chance they get. They are worse than Democrats because they stab you in the back every chance they get. If they are not fighting for us now, they NEVER will.

-4
WeCax49 -4 points ago +4 / -8

That's why we need to take over the GOP and fix it.

3
mintscape 3 points ago +4 / -1

Let me guess, by voting? LMAO.

2
Lickingmusic 2 points ago +4 / -2

No. By getting out from behind your keyboards and going to a damn republican meeting, if you aren’t already, you have to shame and mentally beat down the RINOs in every city, precinct, county, or whatever your local government calls it. Get elected or work to elect at the grass roots level people that represent us and our beliefs. I was a republican precinct chairman in austin Texas (on the east side). I quit because I was frustrated with the system. I should not have. I now live elsewhere but I am getting back into it. The rinos didn’t quit. The liberals definitely don’t quit. Nobody is going to do it for you. It is possible to win the meme war and lose the real war if we don’t get off our asses.

2
Dieselslacker 2 points ago +2 / -0

I just said this. It's our fault, too, for not taking our responsibility seriously as citizens. The government is supposed to represent us, but they never see us.

It's down to the nitty gritty and I can't blame everything on the left. So let's show the world how patriots can get stuff done

1
Staatssicherheit 1 point ago +3 / -2

Nope. By getting involved with the party at a local level.

2
SgtCool [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

So we should spend the next 40+ years playing their game by playing musical chairs with whatever Reps the GOP decides we are allowed to run? Nah man.

MAGA candidates will be spurned the second Trump is out of the picture. GOP is swamp.

1
Kraznaya 1 point ago +2 / -1

Ask the Tea Party how well that worked out.

You can't change the Republican party, no matter how much you want to. The swamp runs too deep and if 2020 hasn't made that abundantly clear, it never will be.

A new party filled exclusively with verified Trump supporters is the only way the MAGA movement doesn't disappear. We'd lose some battles at first, but it took a few cycles for the Republicans to displace the Whigs, too. This argument that we have to support Team Red because Team Blue is worse has lead us to where we are: we finally get a real patriot in office and everyone stabs him in the back.

3
fbeeee 3 points ago +3 / -0

2
mightyclaw 2 points ago +2 / -0

The appeal of a conservative alternative to the GOP is growing and will likely continue to grow; there's a reason for the movement started by Ross Perot, the libertarians and even the Tea Party. The swamp's had the nickname "the uniparty" for quite a while, and for good reason.

At this point, though, I'm kind of agreeing with Scott Adams' assertion that Trump should, once he leaves public office, invest heavily in conservative news media and social media companies, perhaps even buying some outright and combining them under a Trump brand. The media has a tremendous amount of power, and right now that power is flowing straight from overseas; we need a truly America-first media force.

Pumpitrealgood 2 points ago +2 / -0

he can spend 10000000000000 on a new party but if we do not fix the voting system now ZERO of our candidates will get in next time. The uniparty will gang up against Trumps party and not allow it to happen. It is either NOW, or NEVER. Trump must win, we need to clean out the corruption NOW, or there is no country.

1
Staatssicherheit 1 point ago +2 / -1

Yes, new poster, let's leave the GOP and all of its infrastructure and institutional power and form an entirely new party where we have to reinvent the wheel from scratch. Our enemies are clever, if anything.

2
SgtCool [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

Trump has spent the last 4 years building infrastructure of his own. He needed the GOP initially but now he no longer needs them. If Trump was serious about making a new party he could spend the next 4 years laying down that infrastructure.

America didn't turn into the world superpower it is today overnight. We are not giving up against the GOP, we would be actually fighting them for a change instead of falling to our hands and knees and hoping RINOs do what we want.

2
Lickingmusic 2 points ago +3 / -1

This was one of my thoughts too. What a perfect tactic for the Liberals to use. Convince us that we can’t win against the GOP and we should just start over and create another party.

They don't care about all that. 3rd parties are marginalized by exclusion laws and by unfair media coverage. They don't need your vote as they own the ballot box. The candidate that the deep state wants, the deep state will get. Don't pretend otherwise. Before I thought you've got to take over and be the party, but knowing that there is election fraud, even that doesn't matter.

2
SgtCool [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

Trump is a media magnet though. He is the exception to that rule. They will talk about him because he is the one giving them viewers. They won't be able to ignore him because the second they do somebody else will snatch up all the Trump stories and take their cashflow. Trump is the only person alive in this age that could make a new party happen.

1
LLegendary 1 point ago +1 / -0

Oh yeh..it could happen, but if the deep state doesn't want you to win, you won't win. If they can beat the most popular President Ever, they can beat anybody.

1
PatriotPepe 1 point ago +2 / -1

I like the idea of an America First party, but we should hijack the GOP by primarying the RINOs; and then rebranding the GOP

2

That's what we did....then election fraud. Nothing can stop that so don't even pretend.
