The funny part is that most of the folks complaining about people refusing the COVID vaccine probably haven't had their smallpox shots because the government stopped requiring them almost fifty years ago. You don't see anyone getting hysterical about that, but we don't have sufficient vaccine reserves and in eradicating the disease we also destroyed our natural immunity. If it ever made a comeback we'd really be up shit creek (well, not me, because I had mine, but the rest of you whippersnappers are fucked.) As far as nature's predatory pathogens go, coronavirus is pretty mild. Without the vaccine, for most people, it's just a case of the sniffles. If you're going to panic at least get upset about the country being unprepared for a disease that really sucks (although thanks to Trump we're more equipped to deal with such an outbreak than we were a year ago.)

100%. Actually corona's biggest problem is that it ISN'T more deadly. If you were puking up your organs you'd be in the hospital instead of out spreading it. LOL.

It's a potent reminder that there is no top of the food chain. Life has always been a soup of things trying to eat each other. Except now there's more whining communists who think if we take enough drugs then nothing bad will ever happen again.
