I'm already anticipating the doomers because they didn't read the EO carefully enough. The DNI assessment is just step one. That starts other agencies like homeland security to look into it all and then they have to give a report.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think any action happens until after the second report by Homeland security and the Secretary of Treasury, etc.
I've read the EO like 3-4 times, but it still seems a little vague. This is just how I understood it. 45 days for the first report, 45 days for the second report and then action. And yes I know that puts us to Feb 1st, so I hope they accelerated the time frame.
But this EO is mostly about seizing assets and property and gathering evidence. I'm assuming he can use this evidence to go after people criminally, but that was kind of vague.
If you want China in everyone's minds when it comes time for helicopter rides, you release it to the public in a way the MSM will actually report it. You make it look like it's a nothing burger and that your team is arguing the merits.
But when the report comes out, suddenly it's a double cheeseburger with extra bacon where everyone was expecting a plain burger made with a frozen patty. But at least they were expecting one ...
My god that was a horrible analogy. I'm ashamed.
Regardless, China is playing information warfare with us. They bribe and manipulate from behind the scenes. They're snakes in the grass. And they're very very good at it. To win, we've got to play a bit of their game, while lining up the pieces that we're going to launch out of our helicopters.
The DNI report is already released to Trump. The one today is a report is to CONGRESS. It has nothing to do with anythingb behind the scenes.
Also the EO13848 is a smoke screen. Look up IEEPA.
But EO13848 DID enact the IEEPA in order to seize the assets of anyone involved

Fucking hate this analogy. Cancer, knife. Obama said the same thing. But before you cut it out, what? YOU FUCKING IRRADIATE IT!!!
Oh, and not all cancers are malignant. They're just taking up useless space. So do with that info what you wish.

Trump already has the report and is already making his plans!
The DNI report is literally our last hope, unless the Pres decides to invoke the Insurrection Act or Directive 51, and I don't see that happening.
