The President:

  1. Elected by We the People via the electoral college.
  2. Limited to 2 four year terms with a maximum of 10 years served.
  3. May be removed from office before his term expires, via impeachment and removal vote in the Senate.
  4. A veto may be overridden by 2/3 Congress.
  5. Must seek re-election after a 4 year term by We the People via the electoral college.

Congress:

  1. Elected by We the People.
  2. No limitations on time served (unfortunately!)
  3. Must seek re-elected every 2 or 6 years by We the People
  4. Legislation passed may be either vetoed by the President or deemed Unconstitutional by SCOTUS.

SCOTUS:

  1. Appointed, never elected by We the People.
  2. Lifetime appointments, never held responsible for their actions good or bad.
  3. Decisions cannot be vetoed or overruled by any other branch of government or We the People. Only by a future SCOTUS, or Constitutional Amendment!

Basically SCOTUS is a 9-man Dictator-for-Life Branch of Government, that simply can dictate the law, with no repercussions, CHANGE MY MIND!

Our founding fathers never intended for SCOTUS to make or set law--what conservatives would agree on. Only to determine if laws created by Congress are in accordance with the US Constitution.

The leftists figured this out long ago that since they are in a very minority, they have to play the long game to change this country. Otherwise, they stood no chance. Their plan focused on taking over educational institutions (to propagandize future generations), changing the judiciary using activists who can then interpret "a living constitution," and controlling the narrative by taking over the MSM.

By any measure, you see that they have been successful in doing this fairly well in the past three decades. The transformation would be complete if it weren't for the fact that Trump won the 2016 election unexpectedly, DESPITE their cheating and fraud. They will stop at nothing to make sure their plan gets back on-track, and that should explain the brazen fraud you are witnessing with the 2020 election.

They underestimated We The People in 2016, they were NOT going to let that happen again. The question is, will We The People be able to stop them in 2020? Or is it too late, and all the Sheeple will simply succumb and demure to the leftists?

They may have never intended it, but by not putting it in black and white, they allowed SCOTUS to do so, making a 9 man dictatorship.

They have a lack of checks.

There is a 2 part problem for this.

The first is that the primary check was removed by the 17th Amendment. Where the states appointed senators they could make certain the Senators both only allowed constitutionalists that respected state's rights and could instruct senators to impeach bad justices. That no longer exists.

The second is more of a self inflicted wound in that the executive allows findings of the court to be final regardless of how impossibly unconstitutional the findings. This is because leftists argued it was so for so long that now no one fights back.

There has been only one justice ever impeached, and he was not removed from office. It even states they can only be impeached for "high crimes and misdemeanors." Nothing about not doing their job.

Making findings against the constitution is a high crime. It overturns the contract of the the union.

You forgot to include that if Biden gets in, the Judicial and Executive Branch will become one. Adding liberal Justices to the bench will allow the Executive Branch to control the Judicial Branch - no checks and balances.

This would cause each next President to add their ideology (liberal or conservative) Justices to the bench in order reverse the previous administration’s rulings/make their own.

Based on the amount of fraud our country is allowing in favor of the left, a conservative President may never hold office again to reverse this SCOTUS packing and America would remain liberal

For what its worth, a SC Justice can still be impeached by the same 2/3 congress the President can.

For "high crimes and misdemeanors", unless they commit a crime they cannot be removed. Only one justice has ever been impeached, and he was not removed. 3x, 4x if you count Nixon Presidents have been impeached as Justices!

I agree, but because they never put their intentions in writing, SCOTUS has been allowed to become a 9 man dictatorship!

You need to read WHY it is set up that way before you criticize it. No system on earth is perfect, we do however have ways to change some things. Provided we actually get the leadership we elected legitimately. Otherwise it's over.

Ok educate me WHY was it set up that way?

With a lifetime appointment, and not elected for term, there is no need for them to be beholden to a particular party, nor the whims of the voting public. Provided they are not removed for criminal activity and bad behavior, they are beholden only to their views on the constitution. However we now have members that are beholden to their ideology above all, even the constitution. That is why there are an uneven number, and the reason there are so few of them. Uneven numbers have no need for a tie breaking ruling, and more justices would mean the court would be deadlocked in perpetuity, resulting in the court being completely useless, in that the cases being heard would never see a final judgement.

You realize, those same excuses were used for Monarchy? By placing checks and balances on the other 2 branches of government, they limited the damage an individual who, "are beholden to their ideology above all, even the constitution", by having a lack of checks and balances on the Supreme Court we now have people with lifetime appointments who, "are beholden to their ideology above all, even the constitution."

"We are beholden only to their views on the Constitution." Yes, just like with a Monarchy, we are beholden to not an objective view of the law, but a subjective view of the law. And just like monarchy, the appointments are for life. I thought the Constitution was supposed to free us from tyranny?

Another thing to realize, Rome was the las "republic" to global stage setting. It lasted 200 years and some change before it was turned into an monarchial empire under caesar

The check and balance on them is congress, if not corrupt, can remove them by impeachment for crimes or behavior, like for arrested driving drunk but no victim. As well as they are not the body of politicians that legislate, if not corrupt and legislating from the bench. Again, our form of government is for a moral and religious people, it is inadequate for any other. A republic if we can keep it. That means keeping our morality, even in the halls of the White House, the Congress, the Senate, and the Judiciary. But muh separation of church and state.........is what got us here.
