Hi soon-to-be-neighbor Pede!! I know what you mean. I lived in TJ in 2013. Returned to San Diego same year, workday border commute too tiring. I'm fluent in Spanish and enjoyed culture, which reminds me of relaxed, down-home culture as a little girl in 1960s Southern US.
My goal was to return to Baja once I could gain permanent telecommute work. This year began working HR for totally virtual company having no problem with my telecommuting from another country that shares US time zones. Before end of next month will be living in Baja again!!

Soon it'll be American kids selling chiclets and troll dolls on the San Diego side.
