As much as I love the comparisons of Trump to Caesar and how epic and historical it all sounds, don't forget what followed Caesar’s reign. Sure the Roman Empire was great too but that only lasted so long too. Then after that thousands of years of feudal, tyrannical monarchies. With how quickly everything goes in today’s world, especially with nuclear and all the tech we have today, my own kids could be living in mad max if Trump emulated Caesar in anyway. Now I’d prefer that to demonrats taking control cause then it’d be 1984 literally - but be careful of the other extreme too.

Just my two cents that no one asked for.

Rome fell because they lacked people like Caesar that fought corruption

America had a great run. who knows if the lack of good men will be what kills her, just like it has killed civilizations since the dawn of time

I think that's the biggest difficulty of governments. You want to get the people who hate government to be involved because those are the people who will keep the govt just.

But the people who get into govt are the people looking for power.

And it's not even a lack of good men, it's the lack of good men who want or are willing to get involved.

We are no longer a republic as of 2020 (representatives no longer elected) so it is just a question of what type of authority we’ll have and how long.
