I suspect chemicals in plastics. We interact with it constantly and it’s all over our food. People’s radar went up with BPA but probably similar issues with other plastic compounds. Estrogen mimics. Before 1980ish things were mostly wood, metal, leather. Probably some lead and asbestos thrown in for good measure.

I better throw away my plastic-fantastic Glocks and to back to 1911s. Got too much damn estrogen in my trigger finger!

Conveniently, almost all of our plastic products are mass produced by CCP-owned factories in China.
