People confuse 'busy" with activity. They aren't the same thing. You might be "busy" running your kids around town in what amounts to a rolling recliner, but you are still sitting on your ASS.
Push yourself away from the table and MOVE YOUR FAT ASS....unless you delight in enriching our bloated, greedy, Wall street run inefficient health care system.
Of course, there is always that death thing as an even more permanent consequence.

There is a huge MENTAL component to being overweight. Being fat is not something that just happens to you. It is a CHOICE. If you are overweight, you have to WANT to be fit.
If you DO want to be fit, learn about healthy practices, and DO them.
That said, there is a lot of disinformation out there. For example, vegetables and a low fat diet, we are told, are healthy. Absolutely not! Humans are carnivores and thrive on a HIGH FAT diet. Vegetables, but especially grains, wheat, soy and corn, and too many carbs make humans sick.
If someone truly, truly has a problem, there are effective stomach staplings and lap bands that really work. Surgery. Not a bad thing to do.
If it isn't quite there, a complete understanding of nutrition is in order. The body wants to nourish its big self, and it doesn't calculate exactly, so it overshoots a little, and the person slowly gets even bigger as time goes on, on and on.
Just not eating won't do it. Or even eating less. The body goes into starvation mode because it thinks it has to. It's like spending less on restaurants and clothes when you are broke. The body hoards.
You have to eat different things, not less.
One way people re-tool how they look is by not talking about it. Except perhaps to a professional nutritionist or a doctor who specializes in this. And having a clear idea of what they want for themselves. What they feel they have a right to.
Yes. We should be in good shape for our build. And strong. With good posture. And loose, long muscles from stretching.
A big piece may be gut biome, which means, eat yogurt (plain not with jam) or take acidophilus pills.
