In this extreme circumstance I cannot find Scripture to oppose the justification you argue for (I only recognize the Tanakh). My argument, however, is grounded in Rachels death during hard labor. If she had aborted ( presuming they had this option available) there would be no "Tribe of Benjamin"...In other words she gave herself up to the birth but what a Reward! Which to me posits the question: What the hell do we know in how to measure? But then, I may be prejudice, according to my folks the doctors actually demanded my mother to abort me as I was killing her and there was NO WAY I would survive..my parents had to find other doctors to help...I'm 55, she's 74...natural birth.
