Congrats on your son's accomplishment. I have very fond memories of the Boy Scouts before it got taken over by the crazy SJWs. The experiences I had in the scouts during my formative years were, bar none, the most important of my journey to manhood.

I hope your son carries the tradition forward to teach boys what it means to be a man and to help them find their place within the world.

This is why the left needs them destroyed, or even "better", changed so much that only the name remains the same.

As an Eagle Scout myself, congrats to your son. That's an impressive sash of merit badges.

My son's still several years away from being old enough for Cub Scouts, and sadly I have serious doubts that I'll let him join. Leaning toward teaching him myself.

Scouting is not even a pale imitation of Boy Scouting. Unless you were in before the mid 70s you never actually hada boy scout experience. 1972's "Improved Scouting Program" was the end of boy scouting in America. Yes, they walked back the worst of it with Greenbar Bill's help but they never did undo the underlying anti-Americanism and preference of minorities over Anglo-Saxon boys. That and it because hyper bureaucratic not "do this, this and this" to earn a rank/badge.

Talk. Not doing. Weakness. Not strength.

With girls in every Pack the cucks even took the damned name of the program from the boys: "The Boy Scouts" were killed on Jan 31, 2018.

My son was more than halfway to his Eagle by the time BSA announced that crap, so he made the decision to see it through.

Five of my brothers are also Eagle Scouts.

It’s heartbreaking that this institution is being destroyed by those who hate men and anything that instills good leadership skills and patriotism into American boys.

Good for him. May he have many other great MAGA moments in life to come.

He completely renovated and restored a fire pit area for a local church. It was a huge project. The equivalent of four- five projects. He had 279.85 volunteer hours just himself.

He cleaned the overgrown area up completely, took apart the broken and rotting old picnic table and seating, and built six new benches, a new picnic table, a brand new fire wood rack, and had seven tons of gravel delivered to cover the area and ensure it looked great.

Massive project

Total volunteer hours were over 600 with everyone else. It was just a massive undertaking.

That's pretty awesome. I quit at Life. Just to piss off my mom at the time. Long story.

*edit, she did every single part of my younger brother's work up to his eagle scout. That's basically why.

Oh and she said if I quit I'd never amount to anything and I wouldn't get into college and I would never have a decent job. Marine Corps didn't care. years later I make six figures and I only have a HS degree.

I’m so sorry she didn’t support you and said such awful things. That’s rough.

Without being condescending, I’m proud you didn’t let that negativity control you or your life.

You succeeded. Congratulations on your success in the face of such adversity.

Thanks.. I felt like I needed to make a stand. She was rarely supportive and pretty much always criticizing everything I did... middle child syndrome.

Great thing is our relationship survived. She was through it all a really great mother, so great It's allowed me to be the best father I can to my two kids. whom I have 90% of the time.

Thank you for not posting your kid’s face in the internet. So many people think that it’s ok to do that.

Not sure how or when this applies, but I've heard there is a way to remove the smiley face overlay and reveal the image underneath. Obvious leanings would say that applies only to images within the specific applications (IG) themselves, but I have yet to conclude definitively. I also hate child exploitation!

He worked very hard.

Congrats to your son. I think it’s weird on OAN they had like two weeks ago class action lawsuit commercials to sue Boy Scouts of America for sexual abuse. Weird times we live in.

ASM pede here . . . Eagle literally isn't what it used to be but it's more than most boys will ever accomplish. Congratulations to you both, as is appropriate this father-son milepost.

Now tell him please, the neckerchief is not a necktie. It's a tool and he needs to put it around his neck like a man not some fascist Karen with the Young Leninist Pioneers. IT'S FROM THE U.S. CAVALRY NOT Oscar de la Renta !!!

2
Jedibelle01 [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

Hahahaha, you are correct and he actually did a presentation for younger scouts on the importance of the neckerchief and it’s many uses.

The BSA dictates this is how it should be worn for formal occasions like meetings, etc

The problem is that no one cares what the law is anymore because no one enforces it.

People can lie, cheat, murder, and steal an election with impunity in this country.

Unfortunately, no one, especially not liberal activist judges, will side with the law anymore.
