Since roughly 2005, the feds have used Guard units in a rotation with Active Army and Army Reserve units. So them still getting deployed does not surprise me.
If anyone can remember back to the 2000s, a unit being deployed for 18+ months was not uncommon, and thats sickening. Since the rotation of guard units, it seems most deployments have been cut down to 9-12 months in country. A lot easier to handle as a family.
