I was having a discussion about the virus on the World of Warcraft forums yesterday. I mentioned the 'global reset'. Within moments my account was suspended. They REALLY don't want anyone to hear about that.

Blizzard used to be an amazing, 100% American, company, back when Blizzard North was around in the 90s; I cannot tell you how much my childhood friends, family and myself enjoyed their games, so many great memories. But that company we knew from yesteryear is gone.

Currently, Blizzard is just a shell for Activision, a company which has been hoping to break into the Chinese market for years, if not decades. Even Morhaime, one of the former chief leaders of Blizzard wanted to get involved in China for money, Mists of Pandaria sort of indicated that, a whole expansion centered around Chinese themes. Then, a few weeks ago, J. Allen Brack had some weird "fireside chat" where he encouraged everyone to "wash hands, stay safe" ect, I would not be surprised if he was 100% into the Great Reset, so he and his team can keep the masses docile through entertainment, while buddying up to China for cash. Then you had the Hong Kong contest participants using the competition to advocate for freedom for their people, Blizzard banning them.

Blizzard is not our friend, they used to be a great company, not anymore. They don;t care about creativity, a good product, treat their developers like dirt and don't care for the USA.

Blizzard made mature games for mature gamers... occasional titties, blood, violence and good story.

Now.. its all cartoony, usually add some weird sexual orientation or two (which they always mention if given the chance, and got rid of a lot of violence.

Basically.. got rid of elements that guys like lol. Tits, blood and asskicking.

Very true.

I remember when I was in 1st grade, waaay back, mid 90s I think, one of my teachers booted up Warcraft II on his pc and let the students play after class during the after school program; my mom was into the old ps1 game Loaded and Lost Vikings (a Blizzard game), now parents are worried about squirt guns... No parents had issues then, the school didn't care and we all had a good time. Back then, political correctness did not exist in suburban Georgia. Now, well, it's unicorns shooting rainbows out of their asses, and safe spaces for the mentally deranged surrounded by artificial plexiglass.

Diablo I and II are also great examples of Blizzard of the past, it was atmospheric and a compelling work of dark fantasy. Now, everything is cartoony.

Yeah.. i think kids growing up in an internet world fucked them up big time. Crazy fucks these days. Wanting to get those likes for self gratification and to satiate their narcisism.

Gaming and gaming culture is "too diverse". It is going in all sorts of directions. It tries to be something for all.. very rare are games made for a specific demographics.

I could not agree more, so many attention whores. Now these same attention addicts make a career out of their ego on Twitch and other platforms too. Over dramatization over the simplest of issues, overreacting to every stimulus and, like you said, narcissism everywhere. Gaming back before the internet was far more fun and memorable, and people played them to relax with no expectations for attention.

Gaming is getting to diverse, yes, and most of the games are not challenging (many don't requiring thinking any longer), cater to everyone as you alluded to and seem to have some Left wing propaganda intertwined, ruining the whole point of having fun.
