I'm a PC gamer. I've been looking forward to Cyberpunk 2077 for years, but I've been holding off on buying it because I've heard it's buggy as hell. Think I should get it?
It's fun regardless of the bugs, but the bugs are so numerous that it takes me out of the game. Its performance is pretty sub-par unless you're on the latest hardware. I'm running a 1080ti on 1440p and have to use medium settings as well as have the resolution scaler set to 80% in order to get 60+fps. In the city sections I get an average of 50fps and had to set the crowd density to Low. Even then, just looking around causes stuttering.
If you have a PC with more than 4 cores you'll fare better. My CPU is maxing out at 95% usage on all 4 cores with an i7 7700k running at 4.5GHz. I'd love to get the new Ryzen 9, but the damn scalpers are taking up all the new tech stock.
Some of the bugs are kind of funny, but most are just annoying. There's a common occurrence in my playthrough where items and people will fall from the sky as they're spawned in. It reminds me of that elf in Morrowind. Mirrors in the game are broken. Your character will always appear bald and, often times, will be completely naked like a Ken or Barbie doll. This isn't really a big deal since Mirrors are 100% optional and you need to interact with them in order to get it to "reflect". Even then all you can do is change the facial animations of your character.
I'm play it on pc on a ~2 year old computer. It's sluggish in 4K but runs Ultra quality well on one resolution lower.
I havn't had any crashes, just some graphical glitches. AI is kind of stupid.

The game is still heavily subscription based with a disgusting virtual market where you can buy worthless skins of mounts. Its more disgusting and loaded with micro transactions as bad as any mobile or EA game. I haven't played in years but I read that it is very similar to a mobile game and loaded with daily events to draw people to play every single day.

For the first several years it was out, it had a monthly subscription fee (as was the norm for MMORPGs at the time). But I seem to recall hearing a few years back that the game had switched to a free-to-play model with in-game purchases for premium equipment.

Blizzard used to be an amazing, 100% American, company, back when Blizzard North was around in the 90s; I cannot tell you how much my childhood friends, family and myself enjoyed their games, so many great memories. But that company we knew from yesteryear is gone.
Currently, Blizzard is just a shell for Activision, a company which has been hoping to break into the Chinese market for years, if not decades. Even Morhaime, one of the former chief leaders of Blizzard wanted to get involved in China for money, Mists of Pandaria sort of indicated that, a whole expansion centered around Chinese themes. Then, a few weeks ago, J. Allen Brack had some weird "fireside chat" where he encouraged everyone to "wash hands, stay safe" ect, I would not be surprised if he was 100% into the Great Reset, so he and his team can keep the masses docile through entertainment, while buddying up to China for cash. Then you had the Hong Kong contest participants using the competition to advocate for freedom for their people, Blizzard banning them.
Blizzard is not our friend, they used to be a great company, not anymore. They don;t care about creativity, a good product, treat their developers like dirt and don't care for the USA.
