India and China are regional adversaries. Not full blown all out war yet, India has Pakistan to deal with and China is too focussed on being communist imperialist upstarts trying to fly under the radar of other world powers as they expand and solidify their power in the region.

When the Indian and Chinese army skirmished with each other on a mountainside in 2019, it wasn't pretty. It was described as barbaric, as they used clubs and other melee implements to beat each other to death and shove each other over the mountainside. So yeah, I can assure you that China and India won't be bedfellows any time soon.

PatriotPirate 6 points ago +6 / -0

I recall reading of that skirmish. The details were light.

Conflicting news reports make it hard to determine what is truthful. My Indian friends tell me the clash with China is real.

India was run by Sanders tier socialists until very recently. There was a period of economic liberalization in the early 90s but the leftists still held onto power until the last decade or so, Modi isn't really that right wing, but it's a good start.

What's the deal with the farming thing? Usually when I hear people blanket complain about government it's because they haven't done their research to know what's going on.

In this case I can't tell.

14
Swaraj_ 14 points ago +15 / -1

Agriculture was run by federal government planning (originally designed to emulate USSR 5 year plans) and they had all sorts of restrictions on who could grow what and how much they could sell it for and who they could sell it to. The new agriculture laws essentially open the markets up for farmers, a lot more freedom to grow and sell based on what they want or what they think the market wants. This places the farming unions, which are essentially run by the Congress Party (a big socialist party in India), out of power. So they basically got a bunch of useful idiots to protest the government catching up to first world agricultural policies.

4
inspir3dgenius 4 points ago +4 / -0

Holy shit, that makes a lot of sense. I live in an area with a lot of Indian people and the college kids are making all sorts of noise about this but nobody has been able to explain that. Useful idiots indeed.

Thank you for that, pede.

1
Southmaga 1 point ago +2 / -1

Yeah but in reality what else is happening is to my understanding is that people in power are monopolizing the agricultural products. Farmers are not as educated and emboldened as our farmers here. Keep in mind, even today they also have caste system, so a lot of suppression for poor farmers. Result, farmer suicides, and recently these protests. I am told this law is like gun law here. They will say anything to get people to do what they need them to do.

1
ChaddiGamcha 1 point ago +1 / -0
  1. Caste system has nothing to do with poor farmers. I'm surprised how Westerners know nothing about the Social justice nonsense that goes on in India in the name of caste yet they keep parroting these words everywhere online. I'm sick of seeing "caste system" being inserted into anything regarding India. Caste divide in India isn't even as deep as religious divide in India or racial divide in America. Real reason of poverty is shrinking land holdings and non-diversification of crops. The "farmer" you usually see in the media is a farm labourer. Real farmers are wealthy fucks who pay these labourers a pittance to work their land, then turn around and claim massive subsidies for water and electricity by being a "poor farmer". Most of these labourers don't own enough land to grow a kitchen garden.

  2. Farmers are educated enough when it comes to farmer issues. They HAVE to be if they want to earn a living navigating the bureaucratic jungle. Till now the farmers HAD to sell their produce to middlemen holding government licences. The government fixed a Minimum Support Price for crops thinking this would be the MINIMUM farmers would get for their produce. Instead the middlemen would ensure that it was the MAXIMUM they paid to the farmers, or else they wouldn't buy the produce at all and it would spoil. The farmers would be forced to sell to the middlemen or basically lose their entire investment. in time the big farmers themselves banded together and got licences for buying farm produce. These are the ones protesting now. Go look at pictures of the protests online. They have mobile gyms and pizza parties.

  3. The Opposition is basically completely out of ideas other than being the opposition for oppositions sake. These exact reforms have been promised by almost all the Opposition parties for decades, yet they did nothing after coming to power. But now they can't let the ruling party have this massive win (again). So they're protesting.

India is basically a macrocosm (numerically speaking) of american politics. 2 Major parties.( Although there are many more they're all regional parties. Wayy too small of a base for a 1.3B country )

The Opposition (Congress Party - is the oldest and Bernie style socialist) they ruled basically forever since 1947 at the time of Independance. (READ CHINA FRIENDLYS and ALSO THE ONES INSTIGATING ALL THE FARMER PROTESTS) One could draw a parallel to BLM/ANTIFA? 🤔

The Modi party - BJP is a newer party & comparatively Right Wing. Although much more focused on religion than Economy. But still its a start. They wanna privatise the Multi-Trillion Rupee Govt Owned Industries.

Modi has just as loyal a base as GEOTUS.

The corruption in the Govt is largely due to the bureaucracy and a massive overreaching govt. And as your friend rightfully said, they won't sellout to china.

Having said that, we have States Govts ruled by the Communist Party of India. I'm not fucking kidding. This cancer is spreading over in India too. There's a significant minority (about 20-25%) of hardcore leftists in a nation of just under 1.5 billion people. Its a slippery slope folks.

Conclusion:

SAVE AMERICA FELLOW PEDES. THE WORLD NEEDS AMERICA TO CONTINUE AS THE BENEVOLENT SUPERPOWER IT IS. #MAGAFromIndia

This regimen is the same as the HCQ bundle, but ivermectin replaces HCQ here. From my understanding the antibiotics treat secondary infection resulting from inflammation.

I second the secondary infection comment

0
CantStumpTheCensored 0 points ago +1 / -1

Not exactly but you're close.

Antibiotics actually treat the CAUSE of the virus. the bacteria.

But yeah same as HCQ azithromycin and zinc.

Ivermectin and HCQ are zinc ionophores, and zinc is zinc so it helps restore zinc levels in cells, once the antiobiotic KILLS the bacteria which creates an exosome that clueless scientists call "a virus"

From June

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a major public health challenge, and the current antiviral arsenal for treatment is limited, with questionable efficacy. Major efforts are under way for discovery of new effective agents, but the validation of new potential treatments for COVID-19 may take a long time. Therefore, the repurposing of existing drugs for new indications is needed. In this article, we argue for the potential benefits of using doxycycline with either hydroxycholoroquine or other putative agents for COVID-19 treatment, as doxycycline has antiviral and anti-inflammatory activities by dampening the cytokine storm and to prevent lung damage.

An average Indian is as lame as a duck. You need to know how to play the string. 90% of population goes with popular opinions because it’s the path of least resistance. No independent thought process there. Most just tag along to ‘feel’ virtuous and has a herd mentality. Politics is corrupt, the latest BJP Modi govt is another corrupt govt taking land from small farmers in remote areas which doesn’t get reported much. These farmers got spooked because of things like that. Became a movement due to the opposing party’s instigation. Contrary to Western values, bribes and filthy federal system is a norm. 95% of politicians, people in federal jobs, who decide fate of a common man there are in pockets of few who either have lot of money or are thugs. What is happening today in America is what happens every election, everyday in India and all these eastern, south American countries. It is a idiotic to think these shit hole countries are any better because otherwise people won’t migrate to western countries.

Many of our pharmaceutical production is in India. COVID not only showed us that it's a bad idea to buy all your PPE that's made in one country, especially if the country is going to hoard supplies for themselves. The same concept applied to pharmaceuticals, how many lives would have been saved if we gave better access to preventive medication. One of the biggest failures of our current approach is the lack of education for the general public regarding the use of supplements, zinc, etc.., and easy access to medication without prescription. Let individuals decide what works best for them, if you're near Mexico, go over or ask someone to buy these meds.

10
Gmama2 10 points ago +10 / -0

I could not agree more. The public health response should have been wash your hands, take Vitamin D, Zinc and C, make HQC available, tell people to improve health by daily exercise and time outside.

Old people and high risk individuals should have been told they should stay at home if they were scared.

4
Consumerbot381732 4 points ago +5 / -1

In a perfect world, sure. But just think about all the power they’ve managed to concentrate already! It’s always been about making money and concentrating power, and sadly, it’s difficult to achieve those goals by encouraging your citizens to achieve health independently.

The active ingredient is effective and non-toxic in both humans and animals. Only thing that changes is the dosage.

Edit/note: Checked the Wiki page. It's safe for all except those with liver/kidney disease, and children under five. Caveat: I'm NOT a doctor. Just going by publicly available information.

5
anonymousPede398250 5 points ago +5 / -0

My grandfather is a doctor and he's been prescribing HCQ and ivermectin since April/May. He told me that veterinary-grade ivermectin can be used to prevent covid in humans. Just take into account the concentration to calculate the recommended dosage for humans. Side note : the FDA said not to do this, but their justification is "because we said so" without any clarifications, so yeah, I think it's safe.

1
Yawnz13 1 point ago +1 / -0

"Animal product" is just a marketing thing. The only difference is dosage.

18
tw1stynipple 18 points ago +18 / -0

Invermectin won a Nobel Prize. It's literally stops you from getting COVID if you are taking it and has minimal side effects and is cheap. It is beautiful in its simplicity.

But that doesn't make people money. And people like money. The AP press just factchecked that Doctor and said there isn't enough data to say it works and the side effects cause vomiting and rashes. They also are sticking by their guns saying HCQ doesn't work. It's criminal at this point. Lincoln would have shut them down by now.

3
Consumerbot381732 3 points ago +4 / -1

It breaks my heart thinking about the suffering and deaths that have taken place in the name of suppressing cheap available meds so the elite can make more money while concentrating power. And all by deception that’s pretty easily unraveled, if you have an open mind.

" I am an NP (nurse practitioner) with 34 years experience, but now retired recently... I’d like to see this pandemic end and after looking at all the evidence to date, I am confident that ivermectin works. "I’ve had the occasion to recommend it to two newly positive Covid people this week alone, and within 2-3 days, fevers were gone or greatly diminished, and symptoms began abating. Amazing. Truly. Thank you. ML, FNP, Oregon

"Thank you for sharing this. I used the Ivermectin, zinc and doxycycline protocol used in Australia when I experienced COVID symptoms in September and had a quick resolution of symptoms with no side effects.

"If these drugs work why are they stopping the use and pushing for the Vaccine that hasn’t been tested to work as there has not been enough time to check the side effects?

"Yes we had a gp here in Holland who used a similar treatment on 10 patiënts experiencing covid. All of them recovered. he was niet taken serieus by the medical establishment here.

url / headlines says insufficient evidence

"Led by Monash University researchers in collaboration with the Doherty Institute and published on 3 April in Antiviral Research, the research found 5 µM of ivermectin dramatically reduced in-vitro viral replication of SARS-CoV-2 by approximately 5000-fold over 48 hours.

Dr Kylie Wagstaff is a senior research fellow at Monash Biomedicine Discovery Institute and one of the researchers involved in the study.

‘We found that even a single dose could essentially remove all viral RNA by 48 hours, and that even at 24 hours there was a really significant reduction in it,’ she said.

The authors say ivermectin binds to, and destablises, the receptor responsible for transmitting viral proteins into the host cell nucleus.

‘This likely results in reduced inhibition of the antiviral responses, leading to a normal, more efficient antiviral response,’ the study authors wrote."
