The problem is, a judge would. If you can plausibly convince a judge that you were prosecuted for partisan reasons, then that's an abuse of power on the elected official's part and you get off, because that kind of prosecution isn't supposed to be allowed in a free country.
Right now the bad guys are trying to color the Hunter Biden investigation as a partisan attack and abuse of power by Trump, because that's Hunter's best defense with a judge. That's why you have to be careful about this stuff. There are fine lines which if crossed will let the bad guys walk.

This is just one pedes opinion — this tweet suggests that Trump can’t even arrest Hunter Biden because he is obsessed with “optics.” Yet the Democrats openly talk of arresting Trump even without a crime.
Somehow we have to pressure Trump to get over his aversion of arresting criminals. I have no clue how to accomplish this but it’s at the root of all this disaster.

I guess you can read into what President Trump tweeted that way. But from my view what President Trump is saying is that if the Biden family is prosecuted that he did not initiate a revenge scheme against them.
Plus, the election interference and china plague are all started by state actors like China. The Biden family are just patsies for bigger players and bigger fish.
That’s true but if criminals were just arrested whenever their crimes are exposed nobody would think it’s revenge. Besides, revenge for what? The crimes were committed before Trump was even in office.
That’s not why he was impeached, he did nothing wrong and was impeached as a 100% partisan process.
Nothing kicked it off — we are at a point in the government where judges can dismiss cases for no reason and people can be arrested and prosecuted also for no reason. There is no law and order it’s 100% corruption and two tiered justice, one for us where everything is illegal and one for them where nothing is illegal.
A part of me wants to feel bad for Biden and the situation he's put himself in. However, a basic google search of Biden and his affairs opens my eyes to what I can only describe as pure evil. In that case, I hope his and Cumala's heads are the first on pikes outside the WH after being tried, convicted, and executed for treason.
It's not even worth putting "In Minecraft" anymore, you have to be blind not to see the blatant crime going on.
