For optics, he should NOT have anything to do with the prosecution. They will make it sound like he is jailing his opponents

Optics shouldn’t be a basis for anything. Look at the blatant fraud of this election committed by the democrats, Chinese connections, payoffs, lies, trysts.....there never seems to be any concern of optics when it comes to democrats but republicans are told to avoid them always. It’s a lie. democrats are the ones that create the optics in the first place and use it to hammer republicans into submission.

Can't tell too much difference b/w Democrats and Republicans today so I don't think it's about that. There's a lot more going on here than the public actually knows and it boggles my mind when others expect Trump to broadcast his every move and the reasoning behind it so we can have a public debate over it. All I can tell is there's something going on and that tweet could be a clue as to what it is...

There is some difference though, democrats rarely break ranks no matter how egregious the crime or deed, it's most likely how they advance within the party ranks. The more corrupt, the higher you go. This isn't the case with repubs, but I agree with you that there are some RINOS, cowards, and plain sellouts that give the rest of the party a bad name. I don't think everyone expects Trump to broadcast his strategy aloud to the public. It's easily understood that the presidency has all sorts of behind-the-scenes abstracts going on at any given moment, but these are unique times we live in. The direction of the country is poised to go in a radically negative direction permanently unless it's stopped so anxiety is at an all time high and cryptic or ambiguous tweets offer no insight to calming those fears. I hope something's going on in the background, too, we all do. But many of our hopes have been dashed up to this point so you can understand why hoping yet one more time still contains a lot of skepticism.
