Mask refusal = plastic straw bans. Participation events with little impact on the larger issue but allow the participants to feel involved.
The NJ/NYC gyms that have racked up fines/arrests for refusing these policies are absolute patriots. They have skin in the game. Silently judging your fellow people for complying w/ a rule so they can support businesses is just fucking stupid. You do you, but don't assume everyone who complies is complicit.
