I never thought of that. Do you think people actually had this in mind and lied? I don’t know if it’s ironic but seems like a good strategy to me.

Yes and no. I do think many Trumpers didn't want to give up their hand, and help surprise the biden campaign in some small way. But I don't think it was orchestrated to have this effect at this scale.
