If the election is contested such that nobody gets to 270 in the electoral college, for whatever reason, then the House of Representatives immediately votes for the President with each state casting a single vote as a delegation. The Vice President is chosen by the Senate through a majority vote.
Republicans will hold a 30-20 majority in the House come 1/6/2020, although we know many Republicans will cuck to the left. Liz Cheney is the at-large Rep for Wyoming so her vote will determine the entire state's delegation vote; anyone here think she's gonna support Trump?
If the deep state strategically peels off 4 more states, the Presidential vote is deadlocked 25-25. The Senate will vote for Harris as VP, and without a Presidential winner in the House, Harris will be President. The only way that doesn't happen is a mythical world where Romney doesn't cuck out and every other GOP senator (including Collins, Murkowski, and the GA RINOs if they win) holds the line.
Because it's literally written nowhere that matters (i.e. 12th Amendment) how exactly a scenario like this plays out.
For example, "contesting" the election has no meaning in the 12th Amendment. A member of each chamber of Congress can "contest" an individual Electoral ballot, causing that specific ballot to be reviewed by each Chamber and voted upon; if both Chambers cannot agree by a majority vote to throw out that ballot, then it is Counted.
The above is straightforward - what's not straightforward are what happens to Electoral ballots such as those cast by the GOP electors from states where the vote was defrauded - those electors are not certified according to U.S. law, however that does not necessarily mean they cannot be counted since a Constitutional process is superior to all Laws.
yeah it's not 2/3 of Senate and House.
I think it might be a majority in the Senate and a majority of House delegations. Unlikely, but still not impossible.
How do people not understand this process by now?
