I agree, private businesses can set their own rules. It also sounds like their was a city or state mandate. I've also had many places refuse my businesses and some were polite, others were not. All I was saying is we can't tell from what was written who started the rudness, if their actually WAS rudness, etc. From my opinion of what was written, the writer had formed an opinion before any interaction had taken place. That could have colored their perspective of the interaction.

I agree that being firm but polite is the best way to proceed. My only debate here is that we can't assume anything from this, as it's only one side of the story and appears severely biased.

Agreed.

I just believe that when people DO act nasty about face mask requirements, among other things (and we've all seen this happen), it only hurts the side of truth, which was my only point. It's misdirected anger.

Certainly not advocating we take the nonsense lying down, but advocating that we educate when possible, and are always kind -- which will have the greatest effect for the cause.
