5

AG Reyes is the only one I have faith in. In large part bc he blatantly acts against the governor

1
Kolob 1 point ago +1 / -0

I saw an article on KSL where Herbert, Cox and Romney were going after Reyes. If I had known I would have voted for Reyes, figured he was the same as the rest and voted 3rd party. Now I am a diehard Reyes supporter. I am also suspicious about our elections now, although Huntsman chose a terrible running mate.

2
chadenfreude_ 2 points ago +2 / -0

Huntsman was diplomat to China, I wouldn’t have favored him either. Utah is getting cucked with all the transplants, and all the boomers are asleep at the wheel, voting with their membership records rather than spending 10 minutes to research the candidates (looking at you, faggot Mitt)

1
Kolob 1 point ago +1 / -0

I am up in Weber County and I don't know anyone who likes Mitt. I am also an active church member, but lots of us up here are from out of state so not wet behind the ears. In general I am finding people up here to be a bit crustier than those south of us, so I fit in better, Unfortunately we are starting to be "discovered" so the hipsters are moving in. There goes the neighborhood. Even so the Ogden stigma is so strong that we mostly have people coming here from out of state, but mostly conservative.

1
chadenfreude_ 1 point ago +1 / -0

I hear ya friend. The houses on my street have nearly doubled in value since we bought less than 10 years ago, the original neighborhood has been churning out as people are cashing in on the equity gainz. My sweet retired couple neighbors in a 1-story sold to a migrant family from California. Now there are 3 generations and a pair of annoying dogs living in the same space formerly occupied by a couple of senior citizens—there goes the neighborhood indeed.

1
Kolob 1 point ago +1 / -0

My neighborhood is up on the hill and affluent, contrary to popular Utah belief, Ogden has some very nice neighborhoods, so we don't have a ton of people living in one house except for rented out basements and adult kids moving in and out. I am unincorporated Weber County, but we all have Ogden addresses, so our neighborhood gets the stigma too.

I bought 5 years ago and our value is up about 10 to 20% so I have to fight the county on taxes every year. The house across the street from me has nearly 8,000 square feet and sold for $75/square foot. I have the smallest house at 3,600 square feet and smallest yard at .65 acres on my street. Every home is custom, but they are from the 80's and need remodels, but nothing in the area has sold over $100/square foot. My husband says if we get a Trader Joe's up here it will be time to move.

We moved to Sandy in 2011 before we moved up here for my husband's new job. Those houses shot up in value beyond comprehension. I sold my house down there which was an old split entry for what we bought this one for. Washington Terrace is another area with houses that are cheap for the type of neighborhood. South Weber has shot up in value and is down low in a wind tunnel. Some people will do anything to live in a "status" neighborhood.

Sorry about your house values. Maybe it is time to move up here. Hill AFB has kept the area pretty based.

Pretty sure we can do it here in Alabama as well. After the Hurricaine Katrina blah a lot of criminal feces migrated to Alabama from Louisiana. I'm in North Alabama. Its pretty damn based up here. More and more proud of our reps every day. Now we just need to get a new governor and we will be ready to go.

I cannot walk in any gun store here without overhearing whispering of revolution. Gets me fired up every time. Lol.

6
Rugar22 6 points ago +6 / -0

Alot of Virginia is like that too actually.

2
tufftoffee 2 points ago +2 / -0

Damn you hear that up there too? I'm in central AL. Sounds good.

We need a new governor but the man behind it all is the (appointed) health rep who is actually writing these mandates.

1
Seahawks2020 1 point ago +1 / -0

Very much appreciated. But this won't change much. For each such objection, houses will debate for 2 hours and vote.

With so many RINOs, we already know how senate will vote.

13
The_RedWolf 13 points ago +14 / -1

I laughed so hard when I realized Tuberville was now a senator.

It’s like so stereotypically Alabama, OF COURSE they’d vote for one of their former football coaches.

I’m just surprised Bama fans voted for him, man they must hate democrats

6
The_Diesel53 6 points ago +6 / -0

What's up, brother?! Thanks for the shout out to my great State of Alabama! As I stated in the Mo Brooks thread, we don't fuck around here in Alabama. Right after the George Floyd blah, they tried to riot in Birmingham, AL. The mayor of Birmingham, a black dude no less, immediately shut that shit down. We never had any more riot problems in this state. Mo Brooks is awesome. Tommy Tubberville is most awesome as well. He's already said he'll support the House on the challenge to the electoral votes.

Tubbs is also a former Auburn University football coach. He'll be calling plays against liberal fucktards in D.C. now.

1
tufftoffee 1 point ago +1 / -0

Nah, the black mayor in Birmingham told the cops to stand down while BLM tore down our history. He promised to get rid of the statues peacefully (something he's been planning to do anyway: he's a Democrat) despite the outcry. No one can even clean the statues.

A reporter was hurt, business windows were smashed, and there's a lovely "BLACK LIVES MATTER" billboard overlooking the entire city as a sign of conquering as if it's by Muhammad.

Hoover and a city down south (I believe tusacloosa) was based arresting them almost immediately and deploying tear gas.

But not the Birmingham mayor. You're sadly mistaken.

If me and my friends didn't work the next day (at 4am) we would've attempted to protect Birmingham. But we don't have a group of minutemen other than ourselves and with how large and violent the crowd was we could've been hurt and arrested or worse (we have rifles and body armor).

Sometimes I wish we would've said "fuck it" and gone anyway. I was sick reading the comments on the live thread on TD asking why of all places Alabama wasn't protecting itself. We could've changed the course of history...

1
The_Diesel53 1 point ago +1 / -0 (edited)

Damn dude. I thought it went down way different. Sorry about that. I should have done better research. My brother told me what went down, and he LIVES in Birmingham. What the hell?! Now I have to punch him in the nuts for being dumbass. Now I feel like a friggin' idiot, and not not the good kind of idiot.

1
tufftoffee 1 point ago +1 / -0

It's okay. I was keeping up minute-by-minute since I live in central AL. There was a LOT going on state side during that time. Every major city was attacked simultaneously.

Just know the Birmingham mayor is NOT based and does not have our interests at heart. Especially not tbe damned Birmingham Democrats trying to make us feel shame for our history and turn us into a purple state with California-like policies. (They usually get shot down).

I miss when Alabama was ultra based like the huge abortion ban and the kid who sued on behalf of his aborted baby that we used to make headlines about. Both got shot down by federal judges.

1
The_Diesel53 1 point ago +1 / -0

Birmingham does have some worthless people. I had an interview in Fairfeild with U.S. Steel. It took me all of 33 and 1/2 seconds to realize I would never take a job in that shit-hole demilitarized zone. Is the current mayor better than that one who was fucking the gay porn star while letting the sewer system literally go down the drain a few years back?

6
Dudemanfoo 6 points ago +6 / -0

As is custom... states make fun of the state to the west of them... Here in GA we give AL shit... VA gives WV shit... so on an so forth until we ALL give CA shit ...

But today... I salute you AL... I have talked moar shit about you for fun but I have ALWAYS loved you (looking at you Gurley and Owens Crossroads!!!)

and Huntsville is one of the smartest towns in the entire world...

But today... today I salute you and proclaim to the world that if you pull this off I will NEVER make fun of you again.

1
tufftoffee 1 point ago +1 / -0

As you should! But first fight for your state!

1
The_Diesel53 1 point ago +1 / -0 (edited)

You can still make fun of Alabama. Hell, I make fun of Alabama and I've lived here my whole life. Thankfully, most libtards think Alabama sucks and is a terrible place to live. We want to continue making them believe that. Alabama's really a paradise but we don't want the libtards to know that so they'll stay the hell away from us and never move here. We's all rascist, unedumacated, sister-fuckin', dirt road truck drivin', redneck fucktards. Yeehaw!

We can not sit back and wait for someone to do this for us.

Haven't we been through 4+ years of "the report is going to come out in a month, a week, in the spring, in the fall". Or Sessions has subpoenas all prepared just waiting to be delivered. Justice is just over the next hill.

As wonderful as those two Senators no doubt are, we can not wait for them to act - we have to see to this mess ourselves or our children will be bleeding in the streets for their rights or eating out of garbage cans.

So either act now or start scoping out your neighborhood for the best dumpsters to put your family's dibbs on.
