Everyone I see on a day to day basis is an insufferable normie. All my colleagues, all my family and basically all my friends.
They're all happy that the government is telling us we can't see family at Christmas. They fully support all the lockdowns and vaccines and censorship and all round tyranny.
The worst part is, they never shut the fuck up about it. I can't remember the last time I had a conversation with someone that didn't revolve around this stupid cough or the election.
None of them have a clue what's going on, but they don't let it stop them from arguing whatever the latest talking point is passionately. I'm dealing with people here who don't understand percentages, and hadn't even heard of the electoral college until two days ago.
And according to them, when I try to explain my point of view, I'm a lunatic who only reads conspiracy theories.
I feel like I'm losing my mind. I'm just about ready to cut off all contact with my family because I can't take this anymore. I've never been one to cut people out of my life over politics, but I don't know what else to do at this point.
Yes, I understand. No advice to give. I've also been seen as a lunatic, people who appreciate me have demeaned me, and others have scoffed at my face. I've decided to have conversations only with those who agree to do so while bearing in mind that all conversations have to be framed around the Constitution as opinions do not matter, the law does (well, that's something to watch out for in the future). Anyway, in a nutshell, I pay attention to what I say BUT I've noticed that normies to whom I could not even broach the subject of vaccines being potentially dangerous are now talking about it! They're having a f*** real conversation about vaccines being dangerous. I did not say "I told you so" but said "glad free speech is back". In a nutshell, they're coming around, I'd say, because this Covid thing was an eye-opener for many. Apart from that, thanks for the TDW or I'd go insane!
