Everyone I see on a day to day basis is an insufferable normie. All my colleagues, all my family and basically all my friends.

They're all happy that the government is telling us we can't see family at Christmas. They fully support all the lockdowns and vaccines and censorship and all round tyranny.

The worst part is, they never shut the fuck up about it. I can't remember the last time I had a conversation with someone that didn't revolve around this stupid cough or the election.

None of them have a clue what's going on, but they don't let it stop them from arguing whatever the latest talking point is passionately. I'm dealing with people here who don't understand percentages, and hadn't even heard of the electoral college until two days ago.

And according to them, when I try to explain my point of view, I'm a lunatic who only reads conspiracy theories.

I feel like I'm losing my mind. I'm just about ready to cut off all contact with my family because I can't take this anymore. I've never been one to cut people out of my life over politics, but I don't know what else to do at this point.

A Good friend once told me to surround yourself with what you want, not on what you don't want. In the case of family and friends they are brainwashed by the leftist media and there is not much point is listening to their BS. Stepping away for now is the best thing you can do. We've all had to do that to some degree so we can stay sane.
