Everyone I see on a day to day basis is an insufferable normie. All my colleagues, all my family and basically all my friends.

They're all happy that the government is telling us we can't see family at Christmas. They fully support all the lockdowns and vaccines and censorship and all round tyranny.

The worst part is, they never shut the fuck up about it. I can't remember the last time I had a conversation with someone that didn't revolve around this stupid cough or the election.

None of them have a clue what's going on, but they don't let it stop them from arguing whatever the latest talking point is passionately. I'm dealing with people here who don't understand percentages, and hadn't even heard of the electoral college until two days ago.

And according to them, when I try to explain my point of view, I'm a lunatic who only reads conspiracy theories.

I feel like I'm losing my mind. I'm just about ready to cut off all contact with my family because I can't take this anymore. I've never been one to cut people out of my life over politics, but I don't know what else to do at this point.

My issue is that normies are being so normal, as if we weren't in an extremely historical moment in time.

To them, everything is just business as usual, except for the virus, which is also becoming "the new normal."

I feel like we should be preparing for societal breakdown, and other people are concerned about getting their Christmas shopping down.

The disconnect between me and them is what makes me feel like I'm losing my mind. You can't talk to them about what's going on because they're oblivious to it, which is by design. The mainstream media declared Biden the winner on Nov. 7th, and that was the end of that for so many people.

Absolutely right. It's like we've been pre-programmed to mock "preppers," even though some preparation is the smartest thing anyone could be doing right now.
