Everyone I see on a day to day basis is an insufferable normie. All my colleagues, all my family and basically all my friends.

They're all happy that the government is telling us we can't see family at Christmas. They fully support all the lockdowns and vaccines and censorship and all round tyranny.

The worst part is, they never shut the fuck up about it. I can't remember the last time I had a conversation with someone that didn't revolve around this stupid cough or the election.

None of them have a clue what's going on, but they don't let it stop them from arguing whatever the latest talking point is passionately. I'm dealing with people here who don't understand percentages, and hadn't even heard of the electoral college until two days ago.

And according to them, when I try to explain my point of view, I'm a lunatic who only reads conspiracy theories.

I feel like I'm losing my mind. I'm just about ready to cut off all contact with my family because I can't take this anymore. I've never been one to cut people out of my life over politics, but I don't know what else to do at this point.

Mind you, I felt the same in 2016 when I loved Trump and it seemed like the rest of the world hated him. I remember saying at the time “well, either I’m out of my mind or everyone else is” - and we all know who was proven right about that. So I feel bizarre but confident. We’ve been here before.
