I’m disowned. She put that tidbit in her Estate Planning announcement to all the kids. Couldn’t fucking help myself.

Apparently, I’m a piece of shit, and she doesn’t want to hear about (math) “trump conspiracy.”

Feels good!

My mom is having similar complications with the truth. I'm no longer holding back and being kind. At some point, it's not cute to be stupid.

I keep telling my mom she is the one who raised me to ask questions and use logic and facts, not emotion. Then she goes all CNN with ORANGE MAN BAD!! REEEEE. I just keep telling her she raised me to think for myself. She wont talk to me much anymore due to me "never listening to her." when she refuses to allow me to provide evidence for my point. Sorry, if you say "Trump is the worst person to walk the earth" I am going to need some facts to back that up. You know, Hitler and all.

Remember that you have been in the trenches with the truth. She hasn't even had anyone call her a conspiracy theorist yet.

She has been pampered by lies.

God says that you will know me because I tell you of things yet to come.

If you know the truth, then you can surely predict what is about to happen.

Find some things that she has no idea are coming. Predict them. Write them down. Write down things that already happened that she doesn't know happened. Let her cross things off the list as they happen.

I wish I would have started doing this months ago. She would have crossed about half a dozen things off the list. I did do that with a couple things. I think she currently just thinks I'm really smart and it bugs her that I don't share her worldview. I need to convince her that she is being lied to by making that list. Hanging it on the wall.

I'm sorry to hear that fren... I was blessed with a truth seeking mother, every time she hears something fishy she calls me get the real scoop. I sometimes get 3 or 4 calls a day. I don't know why I'm telling you this but maybe it'll help to know that not all mothers are as crazy as yours.

Not my mom, but many, many close friends, so I can kind of relate. Still, my mom would be tough. I feed for you brother

Fun Fact: more people die of diarrhea every day than of Covid.

6
BillBarrsSkelatons [S] 6 points ago +6 / -0

Do you want her email address?

3
Bluestorm83 3 points ago +3 / -0

lmao, thanks, but I work at Walmart, so I have to deal with more than my share of TDS all day, and have to just smile and nod because I'm on the clock. If I actually had opportunity to try and set the record straight, the force of my information may actually kill them.

Wrathofwretchcmox 5 points ago +5 / -0

Also more people die from refrigerators falling on them than wuflu.

Rinorooter 10 points ago +10 / -0

Keep at it! Maybe you'll change her mind soon. My mom would have been TDS too but she passed before Trump became President.

He probably won’t by being so sarcastic... this is still pretty funny though. Lol

40,000,000 / 5,000 = 8,000

5k/40m = .000125

2
BillBarrsSkelatons [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

Now multiply by 100 to make it a percent

2
Fantastic-person 2 points ago +2 / -0

.000125 = .0125% I’m with you gurl!

BillBarrsSkelatons [S] 3 points ago +3 / -0

And she didn’t catch that!!

UnderCoverTrumper 4 points ago +4 / -0

Ugh, I'm really sorry. My husband's TDS parents also disowned him (but only after constant needling and unfounded accusations of white supremacy, racism, etc).

TV getting parents to punish their own children

for things that TV believes

has been going on for 3 generations now.

Why does TV never teach parents to use

  • due process
  • a prosecutor
  • a defender
  • discovery
  • and evidence?

Why does TV always convince parents to "banish" their own children instead?

2
UnderCoverTrumper 2 points ago +2 / -0

Wow, you have no idea how accurate this comment is. My husband and I don't watch TV. We used to watch old movies but we stopped that a couple years ago. His parents though? They NEVER turn the TV off. It's on 14-16 hours a day. They believe everything it says and scream down every opinion that the TV says is bad. My husband could hardly pass high school because they wouldn't turn the TV off and he lived in a small apartment with them. They even had the nerve to try to claim credit for his academic success once he moved out...

2
davidgrouchy01 2 points ago +2 / -0

TV ... on 14-16 hours a day.

The damage done to small children is particularly horrid.

Small children grow up wishing they could be on TV so their parents would "hear them."

So sad. So horribly sad.

tcriv 4 points ago +4 / -0

you know something we all do everything that's actually dangerous?

driving

driving is the most dangerous thing most of us are ever going to do and we hardly give it a second thought.

it makes me sad to see posts like this... i'm so fortunate to have a family that's as "far right" as i am.

if all it took was a little danger for the tyrants to take our freedoms... why the FUCK would they not just invent danger?

They did, it's called going outside without a mask.

Ghost, I owe you. You have great posts.

_Burner_ 1 point ago +1 / -0

People like your mom sicken me. Not because they're ignorant. With the media what it is, you can't help what you don't know if you're not aware that they're lying to you. The problem is when they're told they're being lied to and are given irrefutable evidence of those lies, yet they choose to reject the truth and continue to believe them anyway.

I don't know whether it's an ego thing or they're just that stupid, but rejecting the truth even when it would be immensely more beneficial to accept it than to keep believing the lie is beyond fucked up and I find people like that to be contemptible.

Dude, no good ever comes of arguing with your mom. Moms are always right. At least mine thinks she is.

Who was arguing? I was just doing math...
