The real story on the Mayor is pretty odd. She ran for 2 positions and won both in 2016. She up and moved to Leavenworth last year and has been remote "mayoring" since then. She basically resigned because she was looking for any reason to actually quit. Small city politics can get wonky. The real story is how the news is spinning this on both sides for political reasons. No one is objective anymore.
