as a hollypede, maintaining 6-feet distance on a film set is simply not possible. The logistics involved in maintaining that distance would procure challenges that are insurmountable. camera composition maximizes every inch of floor space reducing the footprint of crew as much as possible. there are some things you can do but 6-feet (which is what cruise was mad about) is simply unrealistic and everyone on that set knows it.
