Follow up period was 2 months. It's not unreasonable to me that 6 of ~40,000 people might die for unrelated reasons over the course of 2 months, and the difference between the control and treatment groups show no statistical significance.

Yeah, there is a reason that the FDA mandates years of trails.
at BEST the longest trial dose is maybe 5 months old.
Normal trials are 5 years.
