My high school was extremely liberal. So liberal in fact that I'd say my college is MORE CONSERVATIVE, and it's a college so you know it's a Marxist hellhole. A few teachers just wanted to teach the subject, but a good chunk were really pushing for liberals. I'm talking wearing "Immigrants make America great" shirts openly and reporting people to the higher-ups for shit like saying "I didn't like Obama."
Except for the math teachers, they were BASED. That whole department (sans the non-political ones) were on that Trump train. Never found out why just math but hey, I'm not complaining.

The most intelligent people in Universities occupy the math and physics departments, so that probably has something to do with it.
