At some point it got hijacked by the left to push on unsuspecting people who blame all their life's problems on being unhappy with their lot in life. At that point it became pushing pills rather than any work into determining what actually causes the issue and who really has the problem.

A fringe cosmetic surgery process mostly used experimentally (with no real success) mostly on people born with congenital malformations. Not something marketed to the general population as "normal" on TV, in schools, etc.
"Sex changes" have never worked. Even the best plastic surgeon in the world can't change a man to a woman, particularly in the genital region. It's mutilation. A surgeon doesn't "make" a vagina, they make an infection-prone wound that has to be prevented from healing ("dilation") for the remainder of the patient's life.

I've determined it's utterly ridiculous and just one more reason to be skeptical of the "medical community". The body still does not match the mind, because the body is not "made female" - it's a mutilated male. Many that go through the long, painful process also eventually come to this conclusion, and then commit suicide because not only did they not become what they wanted, they can't undo the mutilation to become what they were either.
