Docs get piles of articles thrown at them to read to keep up with requirements, too many to actually read and see all the patients they must to make a living, so they rely on headline summaries. Many honestly believe newer is better, patients are rubes, they are elite, etc, and the younger the worse they get. Sex and drugs were part of their lives for years before they joined a practice.

Fact is that becoming a doctor to grift is among the dumbest cons you can try. Medical school is long and expensive, and regulation is stricter than any other postgraduate industry. That's why you get double-digits worth of trash out of hundreds of thousands in the country. The uncountably vast majority of doctors do it because they're good people that want to help others.
Next time you want to disparage a group because you know a few bad apples, maybe consider that only you and your friends are the garbage people, not that everyone else must be as well.
