He had some insane idea you could change the mind to match the body.

No less insane than mutilating the body to "match the mind".

I've noticed for years nothing turns a supposedly informed, rational conservative into a ranting, raving, ignorant lunatic behaving exactly like a leftist, like any discussion of transgender.

Have you considered that you're the lunatic for believing this? Or perhaps just very gullible and will take anything an "expert" says at face value with no critical thought?

I can't understand why anyone would purposely choose to remain ignorant and inject their own personal biases and feelings into the topic. Once you start doing that no one takes you seriously.

You're very obviously doing this now. Your arguments are based on emotion and opinions of "experts", not critical thought or reality.

Right or wrong the medical community has determined the cure is to alter the body to match the mind.

I've determined it's utterly ridiculous and just one more reason to be skeptical of the "medical community". The body still does not match the mind, because the body is not "made female" - it's a mutilated male. Many that go through the long, painful process also eventually come to this conclusion, and then commit suicide because not only did they not become what they wanted, they can't undo the mutilation to become what they were either.

I don't know why anyone even cares, it's not like they're aborting a baby, what difference does it make what they do to their body?

When it was just a weird fetish people on BMEzine talked about and flew to Thailand to get done, I didn't care any more about it than I did about that furry dude who got plastic surgery to look like a tiger, just a "huh, that's weird".

When they started expecting me to believe mutilation turns someone into something they aren't, started expecting me to play along with the lie, and started preying on vulnerable people with basically depression and vanity issues, I started caring.

These are quacks making money off mentally ill people by selling them "treatments" that cause harm.

I know you are but what am I

Is not an argument, but it does prove my point. Thanks.

See, no one made you the authority to determine what's ridiculous. You're just one dude with an opinion, and opinions are like assholes.

Now when you have a PhD in these things, come back and maybe then you'll be qualified to have an opinion someone should give a shit about. But until then, how about fucking off?
