Georgia pede who lives 30 miles south of Chattanooga. Many positive things - great people, no state income tax, gorgeous place to live, low COLA, mountains, outdoor sports, great climate. One negative - Chattanooga has bad schools but there are good private (and pricey) private schools. Great homeschool associations and also some good magnet schools.
That's my biggest regret. All the homeschooled kids I've seen are better educated and adjusted. I wish I could have given up my career for my kids. You sound like great parents!!
I've always thought Chattanooga might be nice to live. Any pedes got the inside scoop?

Adding some who relocate here opt to live in north Georgia for better schools in spite of our state income tax.
I would homeschool at this point anyway; public education is compromised beyond belief. Thanks for the info!
