I sold most of what I owned. Left my job, family and freinds in Oregon to move to Texas. Became an electrician. Almost finished with trade school. I vote in all my elections and so does my wife. Bought a house and just had a baby.
Moving out of Oregon was the best thing ive ever done.
Face it, people fleeing to Texas are economic refugees. No one is running for their lives, that is hyperbolic nonsense. If they are too spineless to fight on their home turf, what makes you think they will fight for Texas should the need arise?

I own a few acres of Texas and would gladly die on that one spot of land then to leave it. If my state is overrun, all would be lost. There is no where better to go.
