The alignment of stars seen by the wise men at Christ's birth was Bethulah (the virgin) along with the planet Hatzaddik (the "righteous," which we know as Jupiter) coming into conjunction with the star HaMelech (as we call it now "Regulus," the king) within the constellation of Ariel (the Lion of Judah).
I went with the ancient Hebrew names to bring it back 2000 years and depict why the wise men (Babylonian Magi trained in the same knowledge passed down from Daniel) knew there was a "righteous king of the Jews" being born...
But yes, Jupiter is aligning with Saturn this year which is still extremely cool, and if you believe in "signs in the heavens," then this one is a pretty big doozy, though I have no idea what it means.
If you are further interested, there was a documentary on it years ago called, unsurprisingly, "the Star of Bethlehem." We now have computer programs to research what exactly the skies would have looked like back then, which is what the dude in the documentary did.
Jupiter & Saturn lining up to be super bright together, last time it was around was when Ghengis Khan was doing his thing. Not Christmas, but still very neat event to look for in the skies this year.

Last time was 1726 I think. Just what I remember from the article I read. I also don't remember the exact date. But it was in December for sure

You're talking two constellations, which to my knowledge will never touch & one planet, where you need two planets for a conjunction

Jupiter is 10x as bright as Saturn. So basically it will be about as bright as Jupiter. Still cool to watch with a crescent moon by them right now.
