I have just recently became interested in politics. My question is why is there hate for John McCain? Being from AZ it took me by surprise that there was some hate for him as he was cast in a very favorable light in AZ.
Can someone cast some light on what I am missing please? Thanks!

You might get that idea, because he's connected to an extremely powerful family via his second wife that he left his very devoted first wife for. Otherwise he'd likely be in jail for the Keating 5 in the 90s when he ran cover for one of his donors he took no shortage of money and favors from someone who ended up stealing a ton of money from a lot of retirees.
You can get into him constantly shilling for war and defense contractors, yet fighting Jim Webb on the Post 9/11 GI Bill. I could write probably two pages or so from memory as to why he's horrible, but if you weren't somewhat disgusted with that why bother.

Also, during the course of his later political career he was instrumental in the creation of ISIS, and was photographed on several occasions with Abu Mosa, Abu Makr Al Baghdadi, Muhammad Nour, and other high profile terrorists.. and domestically.. I'm also from AZ.. up north on the Navajo Reservation.. He was not popular here because he readily advocated for Uranium mining within our section of the Grand Canyon while at the same time intervened in our Coal Mining operations with Chevron and Peabody which was catastrophic to our local economy in Apache and Navajo Counties and promulgated armed conflict between the Navajo and Hopi Reservations, and he lobbied for the seizure of our surface water rights for which the Navajo Nation was subject under the Colorado River usage compact.. It was such a contentious lawsuit that the Reservation ultimately just waived any claim to the surface water and instead secured right over the subsurface aquifers, which he then proceeded to attempt objections to that as well.. so yea.. he was kind of a traitorous asshole..
Because McCain was a raving lunatic and liberal. He absolutely hated anything about the Constitution even though he was as unfamiliar with it as my dead dog is. He is popular in AZ, because Arizonans are fooled by the smoke blown up their rear ends by media. When Trump had all of the votes to kill Obama Care, Commie McCain made a huge spectacle out of voting no. Why? Because he was anti-American values. He was a commie. He was never a hero. But he tried using the hero card to fool Republicans into voting for him.
Wanted to go to war with everyone. Always wanted to arm rebels in the middle east with no regard for how that could destabilize the region. This led to isis etc. Campaigned on removing Obamacare and then was the sole vote blocking its removal. Delivered dossier on Trump.
He should be dug up and the flag should be removed from his grave, and then his body should be thrown into the sea. He deserves no better than Bin Laden.
