Please stop with the bullshit..”leaning heavily”. That’s like another post about someone was “ willing to consider” supporting the President. Doublespeak. These people need stand up and be decisive with their support. They are all straddling the fence for an escape if the wind changes direction
In a contested election the house votes for President based on being reduced to one vote per state. We lead in state legislatures dominated by Republicans.
but if you're objecting votes, it goes to a 2 hour delegation then each chamber votes on it. both chambers must agree to the object for it to be to objected. If that happens and biden goes below 270, then yes it would be a 1 vote per state vote for who should be the next president,
"Remember… Mike Pence is in full authority that day as written in the Constitution. The ballots will be certified today, but that means nothing.
The votes will be opened, and at that point, one House member could, and most likely will, raise their hand to object to the Vice President on the state of elector’s votes. That objection could cover fraud or any other reason, and with the seconding of that objection, everything changes. Everything!!
The House and Senate will divide for two hours (at least) to debate, then vote. The vote will be per Senator, with the Vice President being the deciding vote if needed in the Senate, while the vote in the House will only be ONE vote per delegation, per state, not per House member!!! The Republicans have 30 delegation votes compared to the Democrats with 20 delegation votes.
If this scenario runs true, President Trump gets re-elected."
...and if no person have such majority, then from the persons having the highest numbers not exceeding three on the list of those voted for as President, the House of Representatives shall choose immediately, by ballot, the President. But in choosing the President, the votes shall be taken by states, the representation from each state having one vote
Biden as it stands has majority, and so they would have to contest the votes that go towards his majority first. That objection is accepted if both chambers of congress agree by majority. If all objections are realised then he has no majority, no one has majority, then it goes to 1 vote per state delegation.

Agreed, but polititcians test ideas that way. Same bullshit as always. But we gotta keep screaming to reinforce. It's how it's done.
I don't see why we are chasing this avenue when dems have house majority?

if no candidate receives 270 electoral votes yes.

EDIT: Should clarify, I wonder if it's a possibility that Pence will outright reject to count the votes himself, because then we're on.
Very possible. I think the idea is they would contest all the 'swing' states, thus denying the 270 majority to Biden.
